yeah it really doesn't matter where stock goes. The bots are everywhere. Id rather a single site get 500 cards then dozens of sites getting handfuls and trying to get through each one

Personally, I hope that all these scalpers with their bots get stuck with about $100K worth of inventory that they CAN'T sell...that'd be sweet, sweet justice, imho!!!

The only reason why scalpers exists is because ppl are buying from them. :(

If NVidia had adequate supply available at launch, this wouldn't be a problem. Demand > Supply. If Demand = Supply, the profit expectations for flippers lowers dramatically.

This same thing happened to me , i received an alert from nowinstock and at the same time an email from newegg indeed they were in stock i saw them but by the time i tried to add one to my cart it went out of stock :( all this on less than 60 seconds. Same as Amazon , amazon had stock about 2 hours ago , i received the email but when i got to Amazon it also sold out within 60 seconds. Sad situation with the Bots. There is no way to beat this Bots that is the truth !!! Meanwhile at ebay there were over 600 video cards 3090 and 3080s selling for $3,000 US Dollars by scalpers using bots to buy this cards.

Newegg, B&H, and Amazon won't be good sources for cards until inventory is more stable. You need much larger drops and some luck if you want to stand a chance against all the bots out there.

I would not count on any substantial inventory for these cards this year especially with holidays approaching. First quarter of 2021 is more likely. Until then, the bots will rule unless sites do something to stop it which more unlikely than substantial stock happening soon.

I wouldn't even bother with newegg, I stopped after I got a 3090 ordered on launch day only to have my order cancelled due to no stock. When I contacted them about it, they wouldn't allow the order to be filled once stock replenished. They said "sorry, please order again" That's some good customer service right there. /s

Same I would much rather volunteer at work for 1.5hrs of overtime to pay the small preorder premium than to spend hrs and hrs every week trying to get one. I preordered on Sunday and already feel better with not having to try to out run the scalpers.

You never will. Email notifications take >5 minutes to go out and by that time (if it even gets that far), people running scripts to directly refresh and check the page have already bought the cards.
