I just received a new 1080 FTW2. I have a 1070 FTW so I'm familiar with how the RGB lighting looks. As soon as I turned my system on for the first time I noticed the card looked green instead of white. I thought, "OK, I just need to change things in the Precision OCX"...but no matter what I do the colors are off and I also notice that one side of the card is more lit than the other. Here's what it looks like when set to white- notice the EVGA logo is a bluish color and the other panels are very green: Here's setting to purple- light blue logo, red base: And here's setting to blue, blue logo, base lights turn OFF: Like I said, I have a 1070 FTW and it looks totally normal...nothing I've tried resolves this on my new 1080 FTW2. On a whim, I tried to update to the new BIOS update listed here in the forum (just in case it might reset the LEDs or something) but it says "device incompatible" despite matching the part number. edit: it seems the issue is that there is no blue at all which is why the colors are all off. Selecting blue renders the card dark.

Have you tried clearing the drivers, either with the "clean install" option or DDU, then re-installing? Can you test the card in a different slot or PC?

I just tried a full uninstall using DDU and reinstalling the latest drivers along with the latest Precision XOC. No change. It's worth noting that this is what the card looked like from the first moment I turned it on even before I booted into Windows. It's the same in another slot.

I realize now the problem is the LEDs aren't making blue...that's why purple makes the card red (blue+red=purple?). Intense red or green looks normal, all other colors look off. As I pictured above if I set it to blue then the card is dark...no blue. I don't know if this is a hardware or software issue but the card is brand new...

If you look under the shroud, you should see some 4-pin connections for the front panel LEDs and the top LEDs, make sure that they're fully connected. A loose connection may cause them to show the improper colour. If all the connections are good, and you've registered the card, please contact us, and we'll start an exchange with you.

OK, I checked the 4-pin connections and tried to gently push them in a bit but they seemed firm already. After putting the card back in, the problem remains. It looks like the card needs replaced.

Happy to report I received a replacement card and it works perfectly. Blue is functional and all the colors look correct.

That didn't take very long. I'm glad your back in business. One of several reasons I like EVGA.
