Hello,

I did not know where else to post this & have no idea how to search for dual cpu power supplies online as it always gives me the wrong information. I have tried searching for "dual cpu power supplies", "2x cpu psu", and many other things when generally do not return the needed results for me. My server board is in an E-ATX tower case & I am running 2 L5520 Xeon CPUs which I mainly use for gaming & video editing. I would like to find at least 850W or higher prefer 1200W if possible. Rather have more then enough then not enough.

Current Specs,

Motherboard: Tyan S7012-GM4NR
CPU: Dual L5520 2.27GHz CPUs
Memory: Kingston 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Registered ECC
Video: ATI Radeon RX 560 4GB
HDD1: Crucial 525GB MX300 SSD Sata III
HDD2: 8TB Seagate BarraCuda 5400RPM 256MB Cache
PCI: 7 Port USB 3.0 Card
PSU: 400W PSU

My video card is in an 8x slot so it does not get the full 16x as intended by works well enough to make me happy generally running most games at 1080p resolution. I would like to have at least 8+ SATA connectors & be able to support multiple Delta Fans with really high CFM ratings 200+. I also plan to upgrade my memory to at least 128GB in the future. (Has nothing to do with gaming.) The PSU was in it when I got it & the server was a gift from my cousin being my gaming pcs were stolen while I was homeless. Some of the hardware like the 7 Port USB 3.o card do not work because there is not enough power for the system to run everything & honestly I am surprised I do not have problems gaming though there is a lot of power used so its just a matter of time before it gives up & dies. I have added a few things myself for upgrades like the USB 3.0 card, the SSD drive, and and the 8TB drive I took from an external enclosure I bought to use as an internal hard drive being the same drive normal cost about $50 more then the external did at the time.

Could someone help me out & list models of the PSUs that might best fit my needs?

Thanks!

    Welcome to the EVGA Forums

Any PSU with (2) 8-pin EPS cables should do the job ---> be "aware that ATX 2.x, ATX12V and ATXGES power supplies may not be compatible with the board"*

Consider using a fan hub for your fans

    * Page 33 has a Warning
NOTE: Please be aware that ATX 2.x, ATX12V and ATXGES power supplies may not be compatible with the board and can damage the motherboard and/or CPU(s).

You mentioned 1200W as the size your interested in - The EVGA power supply has 2 - CPU 8-Pin connectors (EPS)

Would this one work for me? EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G+, 80 Plus Gold 1000W, Fully Modular, FDB Fan, 10 Year Warranty, Includes Power ON Self Tester, Power Supply 120-GP-1000-X1. I am not use to messing with computers that have more then one CPU so this is a royal pain to me to search for things I am not familiar with. Also $300 is a bit much, the one I found if it will work is only like $150 anything over that is way to high.

Yeah, it would be pretty hard to find a PSU that has 2 cpu outputs for less than $ 150  , - that is also good enough of a rating to trust plugging it & running  your parts

All EVGA PSUs 650w gold or better have 2 CPU cables. I believe the B2 do too, I know the 850w B2 does
Some 24pin connectors are pinned different on server boards.
I would look at the pin-out diagrams of both the PSU and the boards connector to make sure they are the same
The connector even if they are pinned different, it will still plug in.

Keep in mind that the PSU is the heart of a  computer so it's a piece worth spending a bit more on to get quality.
