Purchased my NU Audio card the first day it became available.  Glad I did - what a difference.  I use Logitech's 5.1 surround sound speaker system with Creative Labs X-hifi.  I thought my current sound setup was good - but after installing my new NU Audio card and listening to it compared to Creative Labs X-hifi and my motherboards onboard audio chip - WOW the highs, meds and a better bass blew me away.  Connected my AU Audio card via the optic connection for 5.1 surround sound.  Even my Logitech 933 headset sounds much better.  Below is my PC configuration:
 
Core I7 8086k CPU
Asus GTX 1080 Ti
32 Gb of trident Z ram
Asus Maximus Code 10 MB
850 watt EVGA PS
               
Obviously - I highly recommend NU Audio for better sound and  its RGB lighting is a great additional feature.  You will also find the NU Audio software easy to use.

    does the Nu Audio have any sort of decoder like DTS or Dolby Digital? Also does it have smart volume control? How do you get 5.1 surround through optical?
