Love the cables, unit has no issues with powering my system but.. that fan.  Rather than try and describe the sound I made a quick video to show just how loud it is.  I'm not sensitive to fan noise either but this sound is unlike any fan I have ever heard.

Has anyone else had this issue?  Checked the fan grill on the unit, doesn't look like there's anything obstructing the fan inside.  The noise will seem to lessen after the system is powered on for a few hours.

Edit: Apparently I can't post links -- must have been due to the forum upgrade.  I was a frequent poster several years back.  You can see the video (and hear the lovely noise) by going to vimeo.com/82354325

RMA unit is on the way.. hopefully without the chug.

Happy to report the replacement unit is working perfectly -- the chug/rattle is completely gone!

I got a kick out of the Duke Nukem belt buckle as well.

Just wanted to say thank you very much for the quick RMA support.  Despite owning numerous EVGA GPUs over the years and my trusty 790i Ultra, every EVGA product I have purchased has worked perfectly out of the box so I never went through the EVGA support/RMA process.  Clearly there's a reason why you guys have such a stellar reputation in that area!

    Happy holidays!

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately since I have already submitted a mail-in rebate (with the UPC and Serial sticker sent) I am not sure if I can still get an RMA. I can retrieve the serial code itself but not the actual physical barcode.

You do not need to worry about the serial number on the box. The serial number is also located on the power supply itself. It is on the side opposite the fan. As long as that serial number is still intact, you can do an RMA. Give us a call and we can help you out.

I've heard these fans suck, I've had my 750G about 3 weeks and the fan is starting to get louder. I'm sure it will just continue to get louder and louder, can anybody that had theirs already RMAed verify that the fan noise is gone or is the replacement also getting loud?

    Hello,

Unfortunately issues can happen and that is why it is great EVGA offers the warranty we do on our PSU line. We are working with our team to help improve our products everyday.

If you have an issue with the fan on your PSU, drop me an email with your registered serial number and EVGA can swap it out for you.

I am happy to test it before it ships out and if you have any issues down the road, let us know so we can get you taken care of.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I see if I push on the top of the fan a little the rattle dampens. It would be nice if there was a screw loose I can tighten on my own with out the need to ship it all the way to California and save a lot of time. It's an unbalanced fan I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It could be because of dust or something else.

I've had my EVGA SuperNova 750G for quite a while and it makes a loud rattle from time to time.  There is no variable that seems to contribute to when it starts making noise.  It's loud enough to be seriously disruptive and I would love to find a solution that would allow my computer to operate quietly.  It will go months at a time without making the rattling sound then seemingly out of nowhere, it starts up again.  I've removed the PSU to inspect it and there doesn't appear to be anything interfering with the fan but it is obvious that the sound is coming from the fan.  I won my computer during one of EVGA's annual anniversary events and other than the noise this thing makes, I couldn't be happier with it.  When I first received the computer the first PSU in it died after about a week.  EVGA shipped me a new PSU and it has been making this noise on and off for the last two years.
