Hi, I've been having troubles with my video card since 4 months ago or so, the problem is that I had Windows XP SP3 (32 bits) and everything was perfect, then microsoft launched Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bits) and I bought it and installed it, the first days were perfect but then when I tried to play Bioshock I got the nvlddmkm.sys error -.-. I tried a lot of ways to "fix" this error but I couldn´t, at first I could use the driver as long as I never played anything but then one day when I was booting windows I got the error and then the driver never ran again, not ever installing other versions (I used Driver Sweeper), tired of this I went back to Windows XP to find that now my video card also had troubles with Windows XP drivers as well, then I reinstalled Windows 7 but I simply can´t use the driver, windows keeps telling me the error code 43, I don´t know what to do.

It's probably not the drivers, your card is more than likely dead.

    Time to setup an RMA.

Well I've been thinking on that too but if that's true then I shouldn't be able to see anything with my video card isn't it?, and besides the driver problem I still get video from it :S

I'll second the likely dead card..But you could try reseating the card..Or try it in another rig to be sure it's junk, or try another card in your rig and see if it works, if you can and if you haven't already done so..Otherwise, RMA it if it's under warranty.

well I could use the driver this evening and I could set the underclock that some people said that could fix the problem

    450------- GPU Clock
    440------- Memoria
    1000------ Shader

Everything was fine but the I got the error nvlddmkm.sys again like an hour ago while I was using iTunes so I'm it might be a hardware problem, still I would like to know if this error means a card problem or if could be something else.

Code 43 Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.

Ummm, yeah, ok, that really helps alot.

Download the latest driver from NVIDIA Driver Downloads..Uninstall the video driver using Driver Sweeper..Install the latest driver..Then run the Windows Live OneCare Clean Up Scan to remove any invalid registry entries and other garbage and then restart your rig..See how that works..If not, then your card is probably junk..Good luck.

I use evga Precision to overclock

These are  the setting that work for me. My friend has the same setup and his 9800gtx+ sli setup does the same thing.

Use 570 for the Core Use 1384 for the shader
    use 845 for the memory.
    use 100% on fan

    AMD Phenom 940 (3.6ghz)
    ASUS m4n82 Deluxe MoBo
    2 sticks of 2gb ddr2 1066
    2 x eVGA 9800gtx+ sli
