So, I got my RMA number and have sent it back to corsair for inspection. Also, I e-mailed their customer service with my intent to claim damages on both of my 480s, mobo, and both backplates. They e-mailed me back and said it will take 24 hours for the RMA to process. So, if I don't hear anything in a few hours I'm going to email them and ask what is going on. From what they told me on the phone, they will send me a claim form to fill out and when I send it back their supervisor will take a look at it and provide "futher instructions". I'm guessing from the prices I'm going to throw at them they will probably want pictures of everything. The 480s have a good change at getting reimbursed and I know FOR SURE that I will get reimbursed for the backplates. My justificaton for the 770 is IFFY since there really was no physical damage to it, but I'll leave that up to Corsair to decide. Heck, if this all works out the way I hope it does, I might get a 590, lol. "Never volunteer information, only give what is asked."

Alright, so the claim form has been submitted and the H70 has been sent back for RMA. I have two worrries: 1) They say it is my fault when it definately NOT. (Just to get out of paying me). 2) They say that since my 480s still works (but by EVGA definition is physically damaged voiding the LIFTIME warranty), that I will be screwed on that deal. Let's hope that Corsair's customer service lives up to its reputation.

Well, the funny thing is that I have an H50 on my old rig for over two years. I guess those pivot points on the H70 probably weren't a good idea.

So, I talke to Corsair today and was told that they still have to inspect the H70 and may ask for the components for visual inspection. This is my only computer and it is really going to annoy me if I have to go without my computer for any time. Yea, looks like the 48 hr response I was told I would get with "further instructions" was a load of crap....Bad sign. I can hear it now, "Oh, we had delays, or blah blah blah 'Say whatever I have to say to cover myself'' crap. You don't give a window that you can't stick to. I got a bad feeling about this.

Alright everyone, this has taken forever, but I do have updates: I recieved my shipping label yesterday to ship the damaged components to Corsair and they have told me that they will cut me a check for the market value of the cards. They better use the EVGA.com prices or I'll blow a gasket, lol. Since nothing really got on the motherboard (lucky I am) I'm just going to send them the 480s with the backplates and wait for that check to come in. Once I have the check in hand I'll sing Corsair's praises, but till then the jury is still out. Then I'll get two new gtx 580s! lol.

rjohnson11 The H70 is one of the best enclosed CPU water cooling solutions out there today. If your H70 leaked then it is very rare. Agreed! I have a H50 in my daughters computer and it works great. It is also non conductive fluid so just a little clean up time if it does leak. I am not worried. In fact I am still planning on buying the Antec version of the cooler.

So everyone, got a bit of a horror story for yall:
Was opening the case to put in the sound card I saw something strange. It appeared that there was some strange "fluid" on one of my 480s. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that it was on both 480s. Uh oh, looks like the H70 leaked. Upon inspection of the pump, I noticed that it had leaked from the tube pivot points. Used some 91% alcohol, cleaned everything up, and it all works just fine. Strange thing is that nothing really stopped working in the first place, it was just a lucky catch when I was adding a sound card. Thankfully, Corsair was smart enough to use a non-conductive fluid.
So, I'm going to RMA this one, and turn around and sell that new one, lol. Oh, and Corsair owes me new backplates since both of the thermal pads are completely saturated with fluid, lol.
So, I will never put one of those things in my rigs ever again, lol. Scared the crap outta me......
UPDATE: Also, the stock heatsink looks funny. Never had to use one before, but I didn't have anything else.
And this why I am so scared to go completely under water!

that sucks.. this is only the 2nd ive read about leaking on the net.. ive been using a H70 for almost a year and thus far so good. in fact ive been swapping it to my new rig tonight in fact and gave it a good look over for leaks. i do plan on chaning it to a more capable and custom water cooling system soon. but feel it was a nice entry level easy to install no brainer kit. but a leak!? yikes.. i was also thinking about adding some hose clamps to the existing tubes.. just in case. kinda dump IMO that they dont have them stock.. -kane

That is why I have always feared liquid cooling. I always ask "What will it take to become conductive?" I would like to go liquid cooling eventually. I have heard good things about the H50/H70 though so I'm hoping that you are just a Mr. One-in-a-million. I'll keep my eyes open in case any more pop up.

I believe they are going to pull the prices off of EVGA.com. Thankfully, that won't be considerably less than what I paid for them, which I will still like.

Yes, they"work", however they are now having stability problems, the heatsink is clogged with fluid causing heating problems (it doesn't evaporate) and the serial stickers are soaked and the ink has started to run. I sure can't send those back to EVGA, they would probably scream physical damge. That means that my lifetime warranty is void. Yes, Corsair has this information. I beleive that's justification for replacement, don't you? Besides, they have agreed to replace these cards after it took them neary three weeks to inspect my old H70, so they must have come to the conclusion that it is their fault.

Eh, no worries, I didn't notice the heating issues till later on anways. Just wanted to make sure that I got all that out in case anyone else missed it. Well, even if it was just the sticker, I would still file a claim. From the EVGA warranty page: - Removal and or Defacing of Serial/Part number sticker(s) on ANY EVGA products WILL void ALL warranties. That means that my lifetime warranty would be shot. Yea, Corsair would probably fight me on that one issue, lol.

I have a H50 that just leaked. Bought it second-hand off forums so I can't claim warranty. Caught it in time though... fluid is suppose to be proplyne glycol (i know i misspelled it),not ethylene what was used in modern vehicles cooling systems. Just added new lines & good to go !

Wow, love to revive a thread. Anyways, here is my final update: Looks like corsair came through, and around the second week of june I got my check in the mail for $750 which replaced both of my gtx 480s and backplates. Now, that doesn't seem like much (market value, unfortunately), but considering that I paid $500 for one and $350 for the other, plus two back plates.....$890 in total. Now, that was almost a year ago, so I can't really complain. I do know that I enjoy my two 580s now (one is now in my wife's PC ).
