I finally got my gtx 680 sli from newegg and set it up immediately. I installed nvidia 301.10 driver and ran some bench test. Here are the result I've got compared to my previous gtx 580 sli @ 823/1069/1645. So far some games are better, some games are worse. I suppose this is due to driver not being matured yet. Hopefully it gets better as new drivers come out. As for running temperature I get load temperature of 79c/72c vs old gtx 580 sli's 85c/81c. Noise level is significantly lower. I am not really happy with overall result so far though. :(

You should list graphic setups and VRAM usage avg too if you're going to spreadsheet them.  Also, if you look at the benchmark section of the forum, under General Hardware, you'll see a benchmark between the 680 and 580.  It's really thorough.

Is your CPU overclocked? If not, you might try and overclock the 2600K some and recheck your benchmarks.

Yes, these are correct #s. I ran benchmark 3 times each. I used fraps and played exact same amount of time at exact same game location. I couldn't believe the result either. Just look at games like alan wake 2D. It's actually worse than gtx 580 sli's. I suspect this is driver issue. Or maybe my cpu is bottlenecking here. I haven't OCed my cpu yet coz I never needed too. Maybe OCing it 4.2ghz or higher will make things a little better I guess? If not, then, it's driver issue.

I suspect if you overclock your CPU to at least 4.0 GHz, that this will help with performance with your new cards. Based on your specs, you have a decent PSU and I believe your heatsink should have some headroom for overclocking.

Can you help me to find link for overclocking setup for my motherboard? I've done OC with i7 920 and before but never really bothered with this one coz it always seemed enough till now. I will probably rerun benchmarks after OC my cpu.

The 2600K has the advantage of the unlocked multiplier to simplify overclocking and is decently flexible at overclocking. There is a good chance you could set the multiplier to 40 or 42 and leave VCore at Auto while still maintaining stability. My advice would be to leave everything at Auto and gradually increase the multiplier. Use Real Temp to monitor your core temps and try and keep those temps below 70C. Run a decent stability testing program like Prime95 or LinX just to make your system is stable. Of course if you are running anything important on your system, make sure to have a good data backup.

This scores/fps reads seem odd.  In reviews and benchmarks from other sites, 680's on average are around 30% faster at stock speeds vs. a 580.  I mean, it could be that the SLI scalling is not that good on these cards yet due to drivers, but I will have re-read the Guru3d SLI review...from what I remember, 680's in SLI spanked pretty much everything and easily as well.

just overclocked to 4.2ghz. I am using 1.2v. I am gonna run some prime95 for stability test then rerun benchmark. Hope it helps. However, from what I am hearing, gtx 680 sli driver support is really bad for time being. We will need few more weeks or perhaps months before we see gtx 680 sli at its full glory.

I believe SLI in Alan Wake is borked in the 301.10 drivers. Several reports of it not working. For ME3 it's pretty clear you've got some sort of vsync or frame limiting going on.

Thx. I already overclocked it to 4.2ghz and running prime95 now. I am gonna leave it on for few hours. @ 1.2v I've got bsod as soon as I started running prime95 but at 1.225v, I am not having single problem. At least till now that is. It's been running 15 mins, no core failure so far and temperatures are 58c-61c. If It can maintain this for next few hours, I think I am good to go.

I don't see a bottleneck on his CPU at all, a stock i7 2600K should be able to handle these cards just fine. Maybe when the real flagship GPU comes out from Nvidia, but not the GTX 680.

Those results show that it's a much better deal to go for a GTX 580's @ $359 than a brand new GTX 680 for $499.

Yeah, I'm hoping those 3d Benchmarks of the 680's are with Vsync enabled.

    Edit:
Also, If you're running a 32bit OS, it could be truncating your scores. After your highest/most stable overclock, run a 64bit OS and see if there's any significant difference.

I am running wins 7 64 bit ultimate. Program is somehow read my windows wrong. It's not 32 bit. As for vsync, yes, all these #s are all vsync on. I can't stand the game without vsync coz even with higher framerates, It seems more inconsistance.

there is no reason you could not push your overclock a little bit higher, that processor is begging for it, you should be able to hit 4.6Ghz with AUTO settings without much problem, which will help with your power bill some too. I would mainly blame the early drivers though, give 'em some time. Im waiting for GK110.

6k 3dmark for 2 680s? My 580 gets 6.2. Over at the 600 series forums looks like the average score for 1 680 is 9.5 graphics score. Something is wrong here.

Drivers most likely need time to mature.

I will either find a way, or make one.

wait for better drivers, those makeshift 301 WHQL "betas" will be doing weird things, especially in SLI.

try testing a single card first in all benchmarks. it's also possible that somehow your max 16 PCI-e lanes on P67+i7-2600K are limiting the 680 SLI too.
