I haven't kept up with the ever evolving custom build world for a few years and needless to say I was... Surprised... To see #rgbLife and tempered glass absolutely saturating the market. But the DG-77 really kind of hit that sweet spot where it wasn't too much. Honestly I'm really enjoying it so far I was able to set up my radiator in the front with a push pull configuration which I wasn't able to do in my C70, and it is a bit quieter (probably due to less fans) than the C70 was. PSU shroud is a nice addition to newer cases and this one is no exception. I ended up hitting a computer store in town and picked up the EVGA SLI bridge that has two slot spacing so these old cards can breathe. After I took it apart and did some mild filing to fit the heat pipes out of the card, gave it a coat of white gloss paint this is what I ended up with.

Build specs are as follows:
Intel i7-4790K
Corsair H100
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
SLI EVGA GTX 480's
512GB OCZ Vertex 4
Corsair HX850 PSU
EVGA Z97 FTW Motherboard

The hardware is a little dated but nothing has died on me so I can't bring myself to upgrade it.

Thanks for the quality case, EVGA. Love your products.

The paint job on the DG*7 series does look nice. that's an improvement over the Hadron series case. It's a good thing you wanted to mount the 240mm radiator on the front of the case, it's the only spot it will fit. The top has center mounting holes, it prevents you from mounting a 240mm radiator up there (according to reviewers).

Would you mind answering some questions regarding the psu shroud area?

The holes on the top, were you able to plug in the 6 pin to power the pci-e slots? Also, if it is not to much to ask, could you measure how far the holes for cables are from the back wall? I am trying to figure out if the case will allow my Z270 classified K board to connect the 90 degree usb3 plugs. Thank you.

I do not have this plugged in on my board currently as they are getting sufficient power. I believe the PSU will cause an issue getting a 6 pin PCI-E power to that port. If you're using sleeved extensions that can fit through tighter spaces it probably wouldn't be an issue. The holes are about a quarter inch off the motherboard tray.

Would you say there is a sufficient gap that if you routed the cable first and then installed the power supply, it would not pinch the cables? Also, thank you very much. Would you mind doing 2 more measurements? The width of the holes and how far from the back of the case they are?

It would most certainly pinch the cable. I think you'd have to go to a smaller form factor PSU if you were to take advantage of that routing hole. There is little to no room to put a cable between the PSU and the motherboard tray near that routing hole.

All routing holes are about an inch deep. The smaller PCI-E hole is about 1"x1" and is about 1.5" from the rear of the case. The other holes are 1"x2.25" and are about 3" from the rear and 7" from the rear respectively.

Thank you very much, that is disappointing to hear, but you saved me from making an unnecessary purchase. Oh yeah, forgot to register 5 Evga products. If I did it right, you have some bucks coming your way lol.

Yeah I'm sorry to hear that! I wish there was a few things different about the 7 series but EVGA is still learning. They just need to refine a few things and maybe a few iterations down the road they will be perfect. Compatibility with their own products is a must. Hey thanks! Glad I could help you get the info you needed.
