My 3080ti FTW seems to run into power limit on furmark, need help figuring out why

my 3080ti seems to be running into a power limit sometimes at 370 and at times at 397 while running furmark

    Furmark is the worst benchmark you can run. Try another benchmark. At one time NVIDIA put a limitation of that benchmark into their driver to throttle down the card and I don't know if that is still the case.

    Try +120 core and MSAA 2x.

    this is with 3dmark the free version , it maxes out at 395w https://imgur.com/NgELQwU
     
    trying +120 core and Msaa 2x did not change much on furmark
     
    Should i be focusing on GPU power 445w or GPU HV0 INPUT power (sum) 395w ?

    That 447w max board power is great, that's about as good as you're going to do.  Try starting Furmark, letting it run a few minutes, then reset logging and get the average power about 5 minutes.  I recommend the 2x MSAA and overclock because I feel it gets the GPU into it's normal high load zone vs. just bogging it down.
     
    Your TS GPU score is pretty bad, but that probably has to do with the potatoe cpu and heatsoaking the card with the demo run on the free version.

    Try different benchmark like 3DMark or Unigine Superposition etc.

    yea made me curious as to why my scores were super bad, but i guess youre right ,the pottao Cpu and the demo run does hinder it a bit, just waiting on ddr5 to release so i can upgrade
