Hi,
I have a problem to set 1T my Patriot memory.

Procesor: Intel Core 2 Duo e7300
RAM: Patriot PDC22g6400LLK 4GB (4 x 1GB)
MoBo: 132-CK-NF78-A1
Power: Corsair HX520W
Graphics Card: Evga GTX460

My problem is to set this all 4 memory module to first timing 4-4-4-12 1T
When I set FSB Linked to 1200 MHz my memory is 600 MHz and I have 4-4-4-12 1T and my procesor is 10x 300 mhz
but when i Unlik and set manually 800 MHz my memory set automatically to 5-5-5-21 2T
When I try to set timing value manually after reboot bios automatically set timing to 5-5-5-21 2T

This memory should run 800 mhz with 4-4-4-12 1T at max 2.1 V
What I am doing wrong.
Maybe some of you have the same configuration like me ???
What is the best overclock form my PC
best regards
Zbig

Have you change Memory setting in BIOS select Expert from optimal and change the memory timing to set numbers on your default ram timing from auto in Memory Timing Setting in BIOS?
And here this links for you to setting best timing overclock so have a look and good luck!

    Thanks for this link
In my case set memory bus speed in accordance with this test at 900 MHz with 2,1 v causing blue screen and system crashes.
This test and overcloking is for 1x 2GB Kit I have 2x 2GB Kit.
I conclude that is timing 4-4-4-12 is only for 1 Kit (look at cpu-z timing table EPP#1)
When I set 600 MHz MBS in expert mode or optimal set 4-4-4-12 without any problem and system is stable.
    any other suggestion ?

But you need disable all when you overclock and you might need push up a little voltages...
    CPU Spread,
    HT PICIe (SPP),
    PCIe (MCP)
    Sata spread.
    Limit CPU MaxVal,
    Inter Speed step,
    CPU Therrmal Control,
    C1E Enhanced Haltstate
    Virtualization Technology
    All enabled CPU Core 1 - 2

can you please list all your CPU FSB, FSB, MCP etc... and voltages too?

Just an fyi, DDR2 ram is normally 2T timing, so the rated spec is 4-4-4-12-2T @ 800MHz.

Also the rated speed and timing is usually for 1 pair of RAM. Very rarely do RAM manufacturers test 4 DIMMs, unless its a 4 DIMMs kit.

The reason you were able to get 1T timing while linking and synching is because your were underclocking the memory, which gives the RAM breathing room for tighter timing.

Another fact is the mobo you own is a nForce chipset, which is prone to not like all 4 slots being propagated. A lot of times, you will either need to loosen up the timing or bump the memory voltage for the RAM to be picked up.

I know this as I also had a nForce board, 680i, and 2 kits of Corsair Dominator ram (5-5-5-15-2T @ 1066MHz w/ 2.2v). With one pair I was easily able to get the rated speed, but with both pairs in, I would get tons of problems. I ended up downclocking and tightened up the timing to 4-4-4-15-1T @ 800MHz.

I thought so too but I was not sure
So you think it's better to set 1T 4-4-4-12 downclocking to 600 Mhz or set 2T 5-5-5-21 with 800 Mhz ???

What BIOS version are you using now? latest Version to P10 Improve CPU Compatibility.

    Yes P10

I wrote to Patriot technical support - this is the answer

    Hello,

Please make sure you are running the latest BIOS. Make sure you are using the default FSB and change the Memory Frequency to 800MHz and the latencies.

We cannot guarantee that the memory will work beyond 800MHz. With all four sticks populated you may even need to relax the frequency to 667MHz or 5-5-5-15 because of the extra stress on the memory controller.

Try also increasing the CPU voltage to 1.38v, and set NB Voltage to 1.40v.

    Regards,
    Ben
    PM TECH SUPPORT

Right now I am a little bit confused because not of Memory latency but CPU voltage and NB Voltage.
My CPU rigjt now is set to 3,0 (300 Mhz x 10) with 1,2V and NB 1,2V.
when I set 1,4 V the case is not too high ?
In MoBo option 1,4 V is in the red colour???
What really give me increasing the voltage in my not big overclok.
I remind that in this setting what I have riht nowe, the system is stable.

    best regards
    Zbig
