Hello everybody, i was very happy that EVGA now adds the LED Sync function after 1 year of engineering and waiting. They promoted the sync function since CLCs were released but it only syncs the function/mode but not the color. I bought the CLC and the FTW3 because of RGB and that promoted sync mode. Now it is still not working fine. EVGA only showed it with the new 1070Ti model where it seems to work fine. Now i have got the 1080Ti FTW3 (before 1070 FTW and 1070FTW2) with CLC280 and it still has problems with newest Precision XOC Versions 6.2.2 and 6.2.3. The color sync is working but there is a little delay and that doesn`t look good. In my case i am using the rainbow mode (the speed doesn`t matter). The color switches on FTW3 first, 1 or 2 seconds later the color comes up on CLC (depends on the speed i have set) Flow Control is uninstalled (waiting for fixed version). LED Sync should save the settings after closing and should be working as a background process. Sometimes while i am playing the color change stops on CLC280. I think there are some improvements u have to do EVGA or my settings are the problem. But i don't think so. What is your experience with LED sync? Am i the only one with that delay problem? Well they said in the newest XOC post that they were supposed to be making a new version of Flow control that will go hand in hand with the led sync stuff. No idea what happened to that idea? I am in the same boat as you dude. My experience has been that I Have been rather disappointed I still cannot sync my super expensive, state of the art, top of the line EVGA 1080ti FTW 3 leds with my super cool lookin CLC 280. One of the only reasons i bought the thing was because of the RGB EVGA logo. Lets be honest here , all the closed loop coolers are pretty much the same Asetek hardware. Every company uses their own fans and different core cover. Rads are all generic it seems. The look is what sells them. Figured it would be a nice Visual touch with my vid card. Have it going all rainbow with my fan leds and vid card.. Nope. The rainbow effect is totally off no matter what i do. It is taking them forever for something for something that should have been done upon launch of the coolers. I mean you release the fancy new cards and the fancy new coolers, in the heat of the RGB craze you Figure they would be synced up? The fact they don't still is rather mind boggling. Anyway hopefully they get the new version working before the damn cards and coolers are obsoleted with new versions.

It's basically false advertising on their part. Both for the products and the new sync software. They released the sync software without updating Flow Control to actually support it. The only way to get it to work is to NOT use Flow Control. Which of course makes no sense. There is also no "Apply" button in the sync software, so it requires you keep the software up and running 24/7 for it to work. I've said this before, several times, their entire software team needs to be fired and they just need to pay the guy who makes RivaTuner.

I know this is an "older" post/thread here but Im going to try and revive it! I am having the same exact issues...is there any fix, or update for this? Any thing in the works? I also ONLY went with the EVGA clc for the idea of syncing it up with my ftw3 with the idea of them looking great paired with eachother....but having the rainbow effect on looks absolutely ridiculous because they are no where near synced with each other! The cooler is constantly trying to catch up to the gpu...also to I am in the market for a x299 board and can't decide between the ftw-k and the MSI gaming m7...IM kind of leaning towards the MSI since I can't seem to find an answer or review anywhere for how the RGB's are gunna work on the ftw board.. I know it is going to be in the Eleet software, my problem is im extremely worried about having to run all 3 , precision, flow control, AND eleet at the same time just to be able to control the dang lights on my hardware! Precision and flow give me enough problems the way it is I can only imagine what all 3 are going to do together

Bumping this for exposure. EVGA: is it possible to save the LED settings into the card we have so that it doesnt have to launch LED Sync every time Windows loads? It is causing a notification that the app is trying to make changes to the system every single time Windows loads and its rather annoying. If I close the app, the LED freezes at the last color (Im using rainbow mode on a 1080FTW and it would be lovely to have it run rainbow as soon as the BIOS is done loading without having to keep extra software running). I love this card and the LED a lot, just wondering if a small improvement is possible. Please help and thank you!

Why is LED Sync so finicky? I've been struggling to get it to work the past few days.

Hey! The software is still a complete mess in my opinion. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flow Control and Precision XOC numerous times (and even manually cleaned out the leftovers before each reinstall) but LED Sync still refuses to work consistently. For now, I've given up and set my graphics card and CLC to one colour. It is possible that the LED Sync issues we are experiencing are due to the latest Windows patch that was released to deal with some flaws in Intel chips.

I was able to get LED sync working again. Uninstall Precision XOC and Flow Control. Restart computer. Browse to Program Files and delete the 'EVGA' folder. Restart. Install Flow Control 2.0.5 only and turn on LED sync. Installing Precision seems to break LED sync, so don't install that.

This basically. Upon every startup, the ledsync thing is doing something that requires a UAC user confirmation. During that time, the led effects do work as setup previously so it shouldn't be neccesary. Right now the thing is rendered useless because of the UAC nagging upon every startup. For homebrew software it'd be acceptable but this? No.

Hi everyone! Some "Precision"s to get started with: I'm running a 1070 ftw + CLC 280 on a MSI X99A Raider motherboard. I have Precision XOC 6.2.3 installed and starting with windows. Though I find it unacceptable to sell devices that are not compatible with their own software (I bought them for this feature!), I decided to uninstall Flow control after reading this thread : "NOTE: LED SYNC not currently compatible with Flow Control, it is recommended to not use or remove Flow Control if you plan to use LED sync feature. There will be a new version of Flow Control to address this soon." I don't know what "soon" means at EVGA. However this was posted on 11/3/2017 BUT I finally managed to get rid of LED Sync UAC at startup by installing the certificate and the "counter signature" in LED Sync Properties.Which is kind of a relief already. Now I have the LED sync menu opening at startup instead -_-' Please EVGA: - Could you manage to release a version of Flow control that would definitely and forever fix those Led Sync issues, and be usable with Precision and led sync altogether?
- Could you please get your software to launch silently at startup, without displaying UAC, and automatically minimized to a tray icon? That would be AWESOME!
- If all of these requests are impossible to fulfil, could you just add a "Start minimized" button to the LED Sync software?
Some disappointed user.
