I have had an EVGA 1070 FTW since December and I was always able to use LED Sync without any problem. Now as of last week, it stopped working entirely. In both Precision XOC and X1, the LED Sync button is non-clickable. I have tried opening the LED Sync .exe standalone by itself, which allows me to make changes, but it does not show my GPU and none of these changes I make within it and apply are reflected on my GPU's LED. I have tried deleting everything and re-download from scratch, I have tried rebooting my PC, I have tried other third-party software (i.e. OpenRGB, NVIDIA's LED software), but nothing changes. I am using the latest GeForce Experience driver which is from May 30th. Could the GPU driver be affecting this and causing the program to no longer work?

I am betting he's in New Jersey..heh Regardless....I would try using DDU in safe mode, removing the driver...and reinstalling the previous driver and see if it works. Download it from Guru3D ...boot into safe mode...run it and remove the NV driver. https://www.guru3d.com/fi...nstaller-download.html

I agree with the above here but would add one thing. Don't install GFE when you install the driver after DDU'ing. See how things work. If everything is fine again you can install GFE again if you really need it. -> https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/

Thank you everyone for the help, I will have to try this when I get home from work. I've never DDU'd before as I never really had GPU driver issues, so I'm hoping I won't screw anything up or create more problems in the wake. That all said, can anyone provide me with a download link for the latest Nvidia driver right before the May 30th one? I can't seem to find it anywhere on their site because it lists drivers from 5+ years ago only. Also, a quick side thing, but I cannot delete some of my Precision XOC files because it keeps saying they are already in use, and I cannot find where even after I've scoured everything and even rebooted my PC. Not even ending explorer.exe and using the "del file" or "rmid /s /q" command in command prompt could delete the files because it said access denied. Any help here as well?

I am back from DDU'ing in Safe Mode and installed the last previous driver from the current, it did not fix the issue. It's as if nothing ever happened.

UPDATE: I turns out all I had to do was install a much older version of PX1 (Version 0.3.19.0) and the LED Sync button is now selectable and not only that, the LED Sync also recognizes my GPU this time. Although I don't ever use PX, I deleted it and kept the LED Sync software. I have it working fine right now, here's to hoping it won't break again.

I suppose it was just on EVGA's software's end; perhaps something with my driver wasn't liking that version of LED Sync or something.

This might be related to the fan issue reported in a couple other threads. EVGA has stated that they were able to reproduce that issue and are looking into it.

I'm also having this issue. Downgrading the version of PX1 didn't work for me though. Doesn't seem to recognize anything from the GPU other than the core temperature and clock speed. It used to show memory and power temps as well. I also can't interface with the GPM color indicators to edit their values. They show up in PX1 but when I apply a change nothing happens. I have a 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid.

What version of your NVIDIA driver are you using? I've just now discovered that it is the fault of the most recent May 30th's version 535.98; installing it killed my LED Sync. Something with this new driver update causes LED Sync to no longer recognize the GPU. Downgrade to May 24th's version 532.03 or any other below it and it will fix it. As for PX1, try version 1.0.7; I spent quite a bit this evening downloading each version until I found the one that worked, and this one allowed me to click/toggle the LED Sync button.

No luck with 1.0.7. I was able to toggle LED Sync but nothing happened. Manually launching LED Sync works but my GPU doesn't show up in the list. I'm not sure I'm ready to go down the path of reinstalling old versions of the driver just to change a color. What are the odds EVGA fixes this or a new driver version resolves this?

Yeah, the button is clickable but that's it, I was mainly just trying to figure out which versions were busted and whatnot. Totally understandable! And very true! Just though I'd help.

Indeed, neither of them work no matter what version or if the button even happens to be clickable. Going to judt have to do what I do and run LED Sync standalone by itself. I created a task in Task Scheduler to have it run after every startup and it hasn't failed yet.

On a hunch, what happens if you install (without PX1 running) the latest Nvidia driver?

Basically was the first thing I experimented with given that I don't use PX1 for anything other than to have that button. The new driver caused LED Sync to no longer recognize my card. When I downgraded to the next most previous version, it recognized it. It's a driver issue that NVIDIA needs to address.

Hello Everyone! Thank you for your patience, we have only seen reports of the issue affecting 1080 Ti iCX graphics cards. NVIDIA just released a new driver version today, and it seems to have solved the issue with EVGA Precision X1. We would appreciate your feedback. Thank you, Alex H

The PX1 LED Sync button remains unclickable, however the LED Sync standalone still functions and recognizes my GPU after installing the newest driver.

If you want Led Sync software, try this... Download and extract the latest PX1 -> https://www.evga.com/software/ When you go to run the installer, you'll have a choice of components to install. One is the PX1 software itself, the other is the LEDSync setup. If you want both, put a check mark in both option boxes. If you only want LEDSync, don't check PX1 and do check LEDSync. I believe that should work.
