Nervoize Okay so i switched to all the BIOS options there are, and these are my BIOS numbers: - Stock: 86.02.39.40.90 (Light on top stays GREEN) - OC: 86.02.39.41.90 (Light on top stays ORANGE) - LN2: 86.02.39.41.90 (Light on top stays RED) For some reason, now all the BIOS has a limit of 130% but i cannot change the voltage with the LN2 (same version as OC?) I also gave a little preasure on the fans. And i have to say the GPU and PWR fans have way more space than the MEM one. When i press the MEM one it immedeately touched the heatsink. But both the MEM and PWR are causing the bearing noise. It seems that the PWR is causing the most of it. Both of my issues still haven't been fixed so far.
Why has OC and LN2 the same revision number? That to me seems to indicate it's the same bios? Unless you have some sort of voltage meter, I'd assume it could possibly be software related... unless there's been a new version released that supports the KPe card?
Dunno, thats why i am confused as well. Only the LED color changes but still unable to change anything. All the 3 BIOS are the same for me.. BTW: Card has a really bad coilwhine. It's even louder than my fans at 100%. Ugh, why me

That was one of the main reasons that I was thinking if purchasing the Kingpin. I figured, with such high end components, the coil whine would be negligible to none. With such a small quantity having been sold so far, I've seen two users complaining about it, and I haven't been looking specifically for it either..

I just send back the card and buy a regular FTW3. Litteraly no difference and only 20MHz lower clock. Since the BIOS is broken from my KINGPIN and the techsupport claims that there will be no waterblocks available this is a complete ripoff.

Did they say if they would charge you a 15% restocking fee for returning it? My card is making an occasional grinding noise and is missing a couple screws (2 on one fan, 1 on the third fan), and I was thinking about refunding it while I wait for the waterblocks to (hopefully) release and for the kinks to be worked out. I initiated the process over the phone with EVGA CS and they didn't mention the restocking fee, but the email I received stated all opened products are subject to the fee, which is $150 in this case. Not to mention the $60 shipping I'm sure they won't refund, so that's $210 down the drain, not counting the cost for me to ship it back to EVGA. On a related note, I called CS again and spoke to the same guy I spoke with a few days ago and he said as long as they can prove that the card is defective, they shouldn't charge me the fee, but he didn't seem very confident in his answer lol.

If they charge me for a defective card, they would be crazy. I don't think they would charge me for that. Also, here in the EU we have a 30-day return policy so they should not charge the 15% as you mentioned at all.

I thought the same, but read a response to someone from an EVGA rep that just reiterated "if you want a refund, all opened products, defective or not, are subject to the restocking fee, as outlined in our terms of service" etc etc. That response was from a few years ago, so their policy may have changed since, and it was likely directed at someone within the US too, since you mentioned the 30-day EU policy (jealous).

Aye, we're in agreement there. I'm hoping I don't get charged the restocking fee due to the fan grinding being intermittent, though the screws being missing are definitely a constant so I'm not too worried lol.

Hello, just so you know. Regarding this thread by TIN: http://forum.kingpincooling.com/showthread.php?t=3972My card is fine and works like every other K|NGP|N card. LN2 bios is the same as the OC bios, but without the protection :) I'm not sure if they release spare waterblocks for the card, because this statement: "Single-slot watercooled HydroCopper version of the 1080 Ti KINGPIN will be available later next month or so. Waterblock will be sold preinstalled on the card and ready for loop assembly." If this is right, why do they include a single-slot bracket Only thing my card has a problem with: - Incredible coilwhine - Weird noise from fans (can't really record it)

Man, that would suck and be somewhat of an to early buyers. They should have been transparent about it from the start..
