It's pretty interesting watching the scalper market on ebay for the KPE HC
The price is coming way down...they are now selling for $3300....after ebay fees and express shipping, that is like $2750...that is only about a $250 profit...once people in the queue start realizing there is no way to resell these cards for a profit(a resell price of about $3k), I think we will start moving very quickly again down the queue...then, for anyone who wants to do SLI or have 2x cards, you may even be able to buy a 2nd card for retail on ebay if you keep your eyes peeled

I think the scalper market is close to collapse, in a couple weeks maybe

We can only hope. Market saturation is bound to happen at some point, meaning those of us who have been left behind will possibly be afforded better opportunities to buy.

in order to break even on a resell on ebay, you need to at least 17% over original purchase price + tax and shipping
if the price of the kpe hc drops to $3k on ebay, it's game over for scalping that card unless you are using an elite coupon or something, you will lose money and time

I just did an eBay search for “rtx 3090 hydro copper,” and the first thing that popped up was a KP card for $3K.

Oh neat, I didn't know that. Hopefully it's about to go down! The guy was asking $3,300 5 days ago and obviously didn't get it. He also has his serial number plainly visible in his pictures.

The real problem is that supply for some skus will increase dramatically for a few weeks, then there will be a drought which causes the price to go back up for some cards on ebay...once there is a constant steady stream of cards, you'll see the hysteria collapse

Hello, my friends! I have returned to the wall to seek the advice of you brave souls who remain on watch.

I had posted this question in the KPE owner's thread awhile back but received no response. Will I be safe enough running my new KPE HC on an 850W platinum rated PSU, if I do not plan on doing any intensive overclocking or benchmarking? (Full system specs below) I never intended to wind up with this high tier of a card, so I didn't opt for a bigger PSU. I honestly view the card more as a collectors item than a tool for reaching the leaderboards, so I'm hoping it will be alright.

My opinion is that you're fine with this system on 850 plat, though personally i wouldn't want to box myself in to "i'm not going to oc" especially with a custom loop at top tier cpu/gpu that are very capable for higher clocks/perf. if you're really not going to do it, you'll be fine. even on the LN2 bios you won't likely reach 500w with no oc. enjoy!
