That's odd ipaine, I have a older 980[non-ti] ACX ,and folding on both it and my 1080ti FE ,the 980 is for sure a lot louder. Nice haul yapchagi, hope they work great for you!!! 
I should clarify, at idle they are quiet, and continue to be fairly quiet until about 50%, it is then that I can just hear it. Once you hit 60% it is noticable but acceptable. Move that to 70% and it has gotten much louder but not bad enough if you are gaming. Now move that up to 80% and it is again a little bit louder but doesn't seem much more than 70% was. But if you go to 90%, it is loud. Really no other way to put it, very loud. Oh and 100%, well something is taking off. And my machine is on the floor about say 4 feet from me. I do think that my 780ti blower was quieter, but I'll test that tomorrow. @yapchagi Nice video, so when are you going to OC them and put them through their paces?

I agree that the GEFORCE GTX 1080 font appears to be, as you say, the standard NVIDIA/GeForce font. However, as Systom has said: Systom
looks too big and cartoony.
Also, the company name, “EVGA” appears less prominent (due to the font being thinner I would imagine) than the “GEFORCE GTX 1080” portion (the “Ti” is set in a slightly smaller font size). In my opinion, it should be the other way around with “EVGA” more prominent). As an example, I much prefer the way it is done on the 1080:  As @FattysGoneWild and @Category 5 have already noted in this thread, the way it is just does not look classy--IMHO of course. Maybe there’s still time to change the FTW3? ;-) Or... maybe along with the different colored DIY shrouds and backplates you are going to offer, you could offer DIY name plate changes as well!

I too like the format/ style on the 1080 FTW, makes a complete statement so to speak.

The whole new design of the side plate is hideous.
Especially on the 'tis where the fins are only st the back.
The yellow Sc logo needs to go. Make it color neutral finally.
Sadly. The black edition looks the best. Really curious to see what the colored shrouds look like.

We are strongly confident about the new thermal design and you will love it.
It's certainly running cooler than my old MS 980ti even at 4K. I'm thoroughly impressed, especially with the compact size of the card.

I love the look of the new cards including the side. I ordered FTW3 from INET in Sweden, i hope i dont have to wait forever because i did not buy directly from EVGA.
