I would ask myself if there is something else more deserving. You're already $4k in after you accidentally bought a video card. Is it really necessary to add more to your money pit, or is there something else your family could use the money for?

I thought at minimum since my older went threw with no stock shown that it would be tied up till more stock hit.

So they must be holding more cards back to list.. or I just got lucky after someone else canceled an order.

Edit: currently wife off today . Still don't know about it. But plans to do bills today so she will find out before the day is over.

Who needs a bed when you have a gaming chair and a 3090 and Odessey G9? She is likely to find him asleep in front of the monitor even if she didn't kick him out of the bedroom.

IMO, id return the G9, there are better monitors coming out for less soon.

Ah.. the new Samsung 55" 4k curved Neo G8 Ark monitor.. nice. Thinking it be too big for me as I felt the 43" 4k too big for a PC screen as close as I'd sit to it.

Kinda like the super ultra wide though. Had a ultra wide prior to this one and thats now what I'm used to.

Besides.. people think it maybe 2.5k at launch.

it should be enough but I am seeing benchmarks showing gains on certain titles at 1080p and 1440p  I am on a 10980xe with 3090 but I bought into z690 for the ddr5 and pci ex 5.0 + I get to play around with nvme pci ex 4.0 drives now we should see more improvements as windows and new cards and drivers are released alongside faster ddr5 ram so it will only get better and the directstorage first game will be forspoken on pc.

 
Short answer is no: Scale when you get in the upper rages is reduced dramatically as far as how many FPS will I gain, Please Temper your expectations.
I went from a 9900k to a 12900k and from 3200 to 4800 ram ; the only thing that jumped that I could see was my time spy score,  My Port royal was the exact same score ... 
5120x 1440 is less than 4k - 8>7.3,  so its actually 3.8K about  I run 7860x1440 which it 6k I started this setup with a 2080 super at this resolution and was pretty well limited , MSFS 2020 came out and thought I would be able to get 60 fps if only I could get a 3080, way wrong !! and going from a 3080 to 3090 KPE did not pick up nearly what I expected in real world gaming .  Just understand what you upgrade might give you way less than what you think it will.
 
Not trying to be Debbie-downer but this is the way these things have gone for me, you will have an awesome PC when you are done but will it be heads and shoulders above what you are used to? probably not , j.s.  ,  As you scale into the high end , performance increases WAY! less.
