I'm looking at replacing my Sound Blaster Z card which actually works just fine. For $150 bucks this seems like a good exchange. The issue is, the SBZ runs on just the PCIE for power and now I have to add a 5V SATA power to run the NU Audio card? Correct me if I'm wrong. I just read another post were the user used a 12V to SATA connection and blew the card? If that's the case, I'm in the same boat. I might not have any more SATA runs available. I think. I have the 1xSSD and 1xHDD on one run and the other is being used by my Corsair RGB setup.

I have the Corsair RM750i PSU. I see there is 4 peripheral and SATA connections, I just don't remember if I have them all in use or not but it I have one of those available will I be ok connecting the Nu Audio?

When you refer to another post, please make sure you have read the entire post. The other user was trying to utilize power cables from two different manufacturers.

If you use the cables that came with your power supply, you won’t run into any issue.

The SATA and peripheral ports still operate off the same rail and hence can deliver the same amount of current and as Scarlet said, just make sure you use the cables that came included with your power supply and you'll be fine.
