Looking to buy a used 1080 Ti SC2 but I noticed this is the seller's pictures.

Is this normal for this card?

    I'd say, since it appears the anodized coating is intact, that is a machining defect or cosmetic on the mid-plate. It does not appear to be warped or bent from impact.  Serial# for warranty? Though it would not hurt if you purchase the GPU to document the defect when you register it.

    The card does still have a warranty, I am just concerned about whether it would be due to heat or something else (as it appears the card was opened since the sticker on the back is broken).

    I noticed in a picture posted by PCWorld, their card also has what I believe is something similar in the same region, so could this be normal?
