That seems like a lot of backlight bleed.  I would take it back and get a replacement.

I have two of these monitors and is a "design flaw".

If you RMA it, the new one will be the same or worse.
    You have three options:

1)Return the monitor and get a full refound from the store you bought it.
2)Register the monitor with Dell. Wait and RMA it when a new revision of the monitor gets out (This is the option I made). Mine have a 3 years warranty by Dell.
    3)Live with that.

I will do option 2. If you play with the profiles and adjusting brightness (I have set mine to only 40% because I don't like ultrabright screens), the blacklight is no much problem for me, but I still can see the orange/yellow blacklight on lower left corner under very dark frames.

    Good luck!
