Ironic so many of you are all like "not sure it's worth buying", or "meh, I'll keep my 3080", or "reviews aren't that great"... Then tomorrow watch, it'll be sold out like usual because 90% of those people that I stereotyped will have bought the hype and bought it anyway.

It's only worth buying if you couldn't (and still can't) get your hand on a base model. It's basically giving them more chances to get any card they can get their hands on. Even if it's not worth it in their eyes, they will still shell out the $ just to have something.

Demand currently outstrips supply by magnitudes of order right now, that's not saying much. They could've made it the same price as the 3090 and it'd still wind up with a huge list for notification just out of hope to get ahold of any decent card.

and I'm sure the 3080ti performance will increase as the drivers mature overtime...

Ya good luck, do you know how fast the 3060 sold out EVERYWHERE??? About 5 seconds. Ya good luck. Your only chance is to sit outside of Microcenter for a day. 

I sat outside of Microcenter for a couple of hours and it's sucks so much. After a few hours you begin to think to yourself "Am i really actually sitting here for hours for a freaking computer part?!" and you begin to think you should leave, but then you wasted all that time for nothing, so you stay lmao.

Sunk cost thinking is a hell of a thing.

So what I have gathered is there should be a product page tomorrow and most likely it will appear a little bit before the launch.  The product page will have an auto notify button that will appear for Elite members at 6AM PST tomorrow.  In order to get in line for the card we want go to the product page (which hopefully will be there before the launch time) and spam F5 until the button appears.  Hit the button and sign up while praying the site doesn't crash.  Do I have that right?

Right.  Nvidia saw how the secondary market was- 3080s going for $2500- and decided they wanted a bigger slice for themselves.  Makes sense.

Do we know clock speeds yet?

Pretty simple i guess- Make a new product, pretend it's way better than the old one, and raise the prices substancially to take advantage of the after-market prices currently going on.

While I do want one of these cards so bad, it is frustrating that the difference between the different levels is so small for such a large increase in cost.

In my honest opinion, i think the 3070 is actually really well balanced for how well it performs. I feel like if the 3070 released at the TI price, it wouldn't be an issue, just because it performs so well. The 3080, on the other hand, is extremely overpriced (to me) and i don't think the difference between the base and the TI model justifies such an increase in price.

Reviews of the 3080 TI are really bad, other than LTT who didn't have pricing at time of review. But i still want one and will still order, i make a lot of bad decisions this is no different.

What video card you think is going to get more stock? the XC3 or the FTW3? My intuition tells me that the FTW3 is gonna get more stock given that is more expensive

FTW3, if past is precedent.

What video card you think is going to get more stock? the XC3 or the FTW3? My intuition tells me that the FTW3 is gonna get more stock given that is more expensive

It's gonna be the FTW3, higher margins means more priority for manufacturers.
 
Do we have prices for all models, 80ti and 70ti?

3070ti but they both are gonna sell out like crazy

They can post 100 posts on the forums to get elite without registering a card.
