Y'all are gonna pay $2k+ for a card that may be at most 5-10% faster than a 3080 lol, just get a 3090 at that point.

Yeah that was my thought on it. It's at the point where if you have the money for the 3080ti you have the money for the 3090. I'd rather get the 12 extra gbs of Vram

Just checked Gamers Nexus review. OMG, 8% performance gains, for 41% jump in price. What a waste.

also, this elite club thing looks pretty shady. I don't doubt scalpers are already in it, I don't see how it helps real long time customers.

Will we have to deal with shunt mods to unlock power limits on 3080 ti like it is on 3080 & 3090? Or did that change with this new series? (Well, at least on ftw3?)

When it comes to the price of these I would look at the 3080 base release price which we know and then we know how much the overclock FTW or Hydro models add over that and add that number to the base price of the 3080Ti for a rough guess. Or you could see about the price range we saw for the 2080Ti since it’s likely to be around that.

3080 is gold. 3090 is an overkill for gaming.
he's saying since we're basically going to be 100 bucks and change off like the 3090 fe you may as well get the fe and have 24gb of vram. But thats if you could find a 3090 at msrp

And pay $3500 for that?

People don't seem to understand what msrp vs actual costs means.i can only get a 3080 for at minimum $1000+ and likely $1500 a 3090 is never less than $2000 and easily goes for $3000+ to get a card that's close to that level for $1200ish is looking very good to anyone in that situation.


Yes of course if a $699 3080 was an actual possibility it makes ZERO sense to buy this but given current situation it's more than a fair price.p

People like Stev from GN live in a bubble ask Steve how many 3080 or 3090 he's had to buy himself without any assistance from "insiders"

I bet it's a big fat 0

His valuation is based on a fictional world.
