The old Intel Q6600 was just an awesome CPU. Even today the CPU is still being used. Intel's low-power Pentium Silver J5005 quad-core processor, which enthusiasts won't consider for anything, appears to have caught up with the Q6600. Well it certainly took long enough but lots of respect for the Q6600 which was in my opinion a truly great CPU.

    Good Old Q6600.
That was a true beast for the time when it was released.

My uncle still uses the Q6600 in his gaming rig and I am surprised as to how well his PC still games.

He built his gaming rig back sometime between 2007-2009 (I forgot when exactly) and he has only upgraded his GPU, cooling, and replaced his HDD with a SSD since then.

I keep trying to suggest he upgrade but he always tells me he can't justify spending the money when his PC runs the games he plays just fine.

It's still crazy though how well that old CPU runs though :D

I still have that old guy, but it's beeing used on a work machine (Autocad 2013) in my dad's office.
Still hold very well for a 10+ years CPU.
