Intel NUC NUC5PGYH – The First NUC That Comes With Windows!

The Intel Next Unit of Computing (NUC) mini PC debuted in 2012 as a barebone kit that consisted of just a mainboard with a 22nm Ivy Bridge Processor, CPU cooler, enclosure, VESA mounting bracket and an external power supply. Over the past several years Intel has expanded the product line and the tiny PC has gone through several generations of processors with great success. While desktop computers are still ideal for gamers and power users, most of the population just needs an affordable PC that offers decent performance and basic functionality. Intel recognized the fact that not everyone wanted a bare bone NUC kit that required other parts being purchased and then assembled only to need hours of someone sitting there installing the operating system of their choice along with all the appropriate drivers.

This is where the Intel ‘Grass Canyon’ NUC NUC5PGYH comes in to play as it is the first complete NUC Mini PC that comes with Windows 10 pre-installed! The Intel NUC NUC5PGYH model sports an Intel Pentium N3700 14nm Quad-Core processor, 2GB of DDR3L memory, 32GB of eMMC storage (you can add a 2.5-inch SATA III drive for expanded internal storage) and an Intel Wireless-AC 3165 M.2 802.11ac card for out of the box wireless use. Intel then tops off all that hardware with Windows 10 64-bit Home and it can be yours for for under $250 – $243.45 shipped at Amazon to be exact under under part number BOXNUC5PGYH0AJR.

Would much prefer an X5 or X7 Intel Atom Z8500 or Z8700 based solution.

Z8700 would preform similar at a significantly smaller SoC USB Stick form-factor and lower power needs.

    Note specifically "computerstick ultra" option

This is just one source option. A few sources make Cherry Trail stick computers. Why would I want a big block form factor when it can fit in your pocket and do the same thing? Going small it's all about form factor.

Heck, the MagicStick Wave looks awesome to me. HDMI 2.0 4k@60 from a stick form factor.

Im still wanting a TV Box one day, but want something quick, not needing anything crazy, and still a nice price point. Anything above $400+ isnt worth it.

For the same price I see quit a few similarities and some distinct advantages to the NUC.
Both are 14nm Braswell architecture however the Pentium has hardware based Encode/Decode, 2 more PCIE lanes and Virtualization
The NUC is expandable and upgrade-able (SSD (2-1/2" up to 9mm thick), memory and network card). It has an Ethernet port, AC/wifi and bluetooth vs. wifi only.
No doubt the Magic Stick has an attractive form factor and Windows and Android preinstalled is nice but the NUC is VESA mountable and can emulate any OS.

Raspberry Pi 2 is what I am using. $35, 10 watts, and a really nice TV-friendly system when running it with the free OSMC operating system and Kodi. It pulls 2 amps max stock and therefore powers off the USB port in the back of the TV no problem in most instances.

The is for the majority the little PC that characterized the entire class. It was not the main little PC, and it is likely not the best for each reason either, however it unquestionably is a famous one. The line up has consistently comprised of a low-end Celeron unit and afterward several more pricy Center i3 and i5 models. The new Intel NUC5CPYH is the third emphasis of the Celeron NUC. The minuscule, however completely practical PC gauges just 115mm x 111mm x 56.5mm (approx. 4.5″ x 4.4″ x 2.2″) and can in a real sense fit in your palm. It costs around $129/€140/£100, yet you should add capacity media and a memory module.
The NUC5CPYH highlights the most recent Intel Braswell N3050 processor that is created with the 14 nm innovation very much like the prior Broadwell and the impending Skylake Center i3/i5 processors found in the more costly NUCs. It is a double center processor equipped for 2.16 GHz burst recurrence and has a TDP of 6 watts. It's remaining on the boundary of detached and dynamic cooled areas, yet this NUC certainly has a functioning central processor fan worked in. There's likewise an inbuilt illustrations processor with 12 execution units - fundamentally up from the 4 EUs that were found in the past low-end model, the Straight Path controlled DN2820FYKH.
There's likewise a sister model called NUC5PPYH (read our survey) that is generally absolutely indistinguishable from this model, yet it has a somewhat more remarkable quad-center N3700 processor introduced. Value distinction is roughly $50/€50. You can think about the particulars of the two computer processors here.
    Highlights
Intel Celeron N3050 double center computer chip , 2.16 GHz, 6W TDP
Single DDR3L memory space, at the most. memory 8 GB
Intel HD Illustrations with 12 execution units
    HDMI and VGA connectors
    7.1 encompass sound (through HDMI)
4 USB 3.0 ports (quick charging on one of the front ports, at the most. 1.5A)
    Customer infrared recipient
Support for a solitary 2.5″ SATA drive
SDXC space for a memory card (UHS-I support)
    Realtek Gigabit Ethernet connector
Intel Remote AC 3165 Remote connector (802.11ac, BlueTooth 4.0, Remote Presentation)
    Correlation with Past Age
Contrasted with the past age Celeron NUC (The Sound Path prepared DN2820FYKH) the new Braswell NUC offers huge upgrades with no expansion in cost. As well as adding a few quite startling elements it really fixes each of the flimsy parts of the past age that I saw before, however the computer chip is as yet not going to break any presentation records. In any case, you can't have everything at $129 cost.
    quicker computer chip (look at)
fundamentally quicker GPU (12 execution units versus 4, HEVC HW deciphering)
    quicker memory upheld
    SDXC memory card space
    VGA connector
3 more USB 3.0 ports, 1 of them charging proficient
    S/PDIF optical sound connector
802.11ac WiFi connector rather than 802.11n

It's spam. For some search keyword, they found this website link high up in the results, and decided to post here to drive traffic to their site. You will see evidence of them trying to insert website links by referring to "our survey" and missing words within sentences which were probably part of a link that was removed.

It could be but the NUC could also show up on some search since they are popular with retro gaming.
