I am in need of help with installing my 'EVGA GeForce GTX 760' with a 'Corsair CX 600w power supply. I have it plugged into the Primary PCI Slot x16 but i am not sure how to connect the power supply. Am i suppose to use the 8-Pin power cable that is labeled "PCI-E" or am i suppose to use the one that is labeled "CPU" on the cable.
I have a bunch of extra connectors and things and it's confusing me and I'm not sure if i provided enough information here for anyone to help me i could take pics if needed.
-Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-990FXA)
-Power Supply (Corsair CX 600w)
-GPU (EVGA GeForce GTX 760)

Welcome to our forums TheRealFnao. You definitely want to use the cables labeled PCIe to plug into your GTX 760. Be sure to plug in both the 8-pin and 6-pin connections on the card otherwise you will run into a series of problems attempting to power up your system.
Be aware that in most cases the PCIe cables come in 6+2-pin and 6-pin on a single cable so to fulfill all the 8 pins on the card you will need to combine the 6+2 to make a total of 8 pins just to be clear on how this connection works and it can only go in one way on the card since the connection is keyed to avoid plugging it in the wrong way.

The PCIe connections should look something like this http://guyfromit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/pcie.jpg notice the 6+2 that come together to make 8 pins.

    This ^^^

Welcome to the forums..I believe the CX600 has two 6+2-pin PCI-E connectors which you can use as either a 6-pin or an 8-pin, as needed..Plug one of the PSU's 6+2-pin PCI-E connectors into the GTX 760's 6-pin connector, leaving the two extra pins hang..Plug the PSU's other 6+2-pin connector with the two extra pins into the 760's 8-pin connector..Use only the connectors labeled as PCI-E.

Thank you for the help I did the steps that you provided. Now the HDD that I purchased was a 2.5 Western Digital black sata for a laptop and I was wondering what I would need to get it to work for a desktop, and am suppose to be able to see the bios on my monitor even without a HDD in or does it require me having the GTX 760 drivers installed within my OS?

Just to be clear, you did also plug the 8-pin connector labeled CPU into the motherboard as well? I only ask because if it was plugged into the MB, it wouldn't have been an option for you to plug into your GPU...

I plugged up The ATX cable from my PSU to the Motherboard. But I have a remaining 8-pin plug from my PSU that is labeled CPU on the side. I'm not sure where the correct place for it to go I am very cautious as this is my first build and I don't want to ruin anything.

    - Yes you can enter BIOS without a HDD with the GTX 760 installed (no OS or drivers needed)
    - You would need to buy a laptop to desktop hard drive adapter if you wanna go that route, you can search  online for one.
    - The 8-pin (should be a 4+4-pin) connector from your PSU that  is labeled CPU on the side goes to the 8-pin mobo connector that's labeled ATX_12V.
    - Your mobo manual will tell you where the connectors go..Connectors are   keyed so that they only fit properly into what they're supposed to fit   into..Don't force them.
    - Your PSU manual will explain what connectors go to what.

I am running this same setup (gtx 760 with a corsair 600w). I noticed in the manual it shows the 8-pin and the 6-pin setups, in the picture of the 6 pin (and in the one that is provided as an adapter) there are only 5 pins in use, 3 on the top row and the bottom row is not using the middle pin. The connection from my power supply has all 6 pins, for the sake of following directions I went ahead and used the adapter. Would it be ok for me just to use the 6+2 and the 6 that come from the power supply or will it mess up if I don't use the connector with the missing pin?

I'm using my GTX760 on my Corsair PSU the same way, no adapters.
