Folder Size is a free disk space analysis tool that can list and sort all files and folders by size. All the files and folders are listed in a table with all their attributes and can be sorted by size, name, date etc. There is a graphical representation of the used space via Bar or Pie charts that can be used for navigation too. The report that lists the Top 50 largest files or folders inside the current folder and all its sub-folders will quickly reveal the space hogs and help in the disk cleanup process.

I really like FolderSize.Win32 - http://foldersize.codeplex.com/releases/view/41473 . It looks like this: http://i.stack.imgur.com/yZV1t.png - very easy to visually track down big files and folders, and figure out how recently a folder has been accessed.

    Hello Fiius
I checked that tool and it is way tooooo basic. Actually it does nothing except to list the sizes in a very strange graph which actually does not help at all. Otherwise it looks fine :)
    - It missed the folder tree
    - It misses the files list
    - It misses important reports like the Largest Folders and Largest Files which are key in the disk cleanup process.

It is all visual - the weird graph IS the folder tree structure (root as declared by the ), with the blocks visually representing folder sizes.  Larger blocks for big directories, and smaller blocks for smaller ones.
Files are inferred from vertical gaps in block sizes, if a directory is 3.2GB and a subdirectory has 1.1GB in it, there is a ledge between the two directory boxes, and files in the higher directory account for 2.1GB (3.2 - 1.1 = 2.1).  It doesnt put out a solid number, so you do have a point.
Admittedly, with the above sentence, it doesnt kick out a largest file report, but does quickly show where the largest folders are by proportionally sizing the blocks in relation to space used.

To each our own, jack.  Cheers.

I personally find that type of view cluttered and at the same time missing details. Of course it is a matter of personal preference. Unfortunately it does not list the files - names properties etc too nor you can edit or delete anything to free up space.
You can easily locate the lost space in the tool that I proposed. It sorts the folders by size and also displays them in a pie or bar chart that can be used for navigation.
Give it a try, maybe you will find it more practical too.

    Cheers
