I have an older 2005 model 58" Samsung DLP tv I am curently using as a monitor with my 670. The HDMI out does nothing. With the displayport adapter, dvi to vga adapter, I get picture but HDMi? Nothing. In control panel it just says detected display is Samsung and nothing else. Also, my screen is not full. I am missing about an inch or two on the entire border. Tried different hdmi inputs and nothing. Works well with my 360 hdmi so the input isn't the issue.

Any ideas? Is it a windows setting or the tv being old issue?

Thanks

You could try the vNidia control panel to resize the desktop and see if you can expand the boarders. See if there isn't an input selection on the TV itself.

No it doesn't change the size as it is already at max. No room to adjust. Pretty sure it thinks my tv is smaller than it actually is. It is not detecting my display right that I can tell.

I have no problems driving my 46" JVC HDTV but it's only 4 years old. I afraid I'm at a loss but that isn't unusual for me.(lol) Sorry I couldn't help.

My first thought is it may be an earlier hdmi version on the tv, which could cause issues. Try a Display port adapter, (or DVI to HDMI), it might do it, but honestly, I think it's the tv. What model number and date is on the tv?

Pretty sure it is the age of the tv. Probably requires a adapter to get the proper handshake.
