I think it is 3 years and I did really like the SSC. Also Evga support is awesome compared to other card makers I have dealt with. Make sure it is the ACX 2.0+ version of the SSC and not the bestbuy version.

Hi, The warranty length will depend on the last two letters of the part number. Usually, the newer graphics cards come with a -KR indicating a 3 year warranty. We do have the a B-Stock of our cards that carry a -RX suffix with a 1 year warranty. You can find more details here: http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/

Three year warranty ot of the box from the date of manufacture. However, if registered, it's 3 years from date of purchase. You can extend the warranty within 90 days from date of purchase. For that card, a 5 year warranty is $20, while a 10 year warranty is $40.

Cabunag60 EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ 4GB GDDR5 i can find the 2.0 version easy what is the 2.0+ version
You want the 04G-P4-3975 model. The normal 2.0 of the SSC is a Bestbuy only model based on a reference pcb and the old 2.0 cooler that is not as efficient as one heatpipe makes no contact with the dir. The 04G-P4-3975 is the normal non bestbuy retail model based on a different pcb, with more power phases and better power delivery and target power as well as having a better cooler. The other thing you get with the 04G-P4-3975 is that a memory and mosfet cooling place exists to help cool the ram and such on the board. if it is the 04G-P4-3975 it is the SSC with ACX 2.0+. The bestbuy model is 04G-P4-3979-KB and costs the same but is a worse card in terms of what you get for the money. So 04G-P4-3979-KB is bad and 04G-P4-3975 is good.

04G-P4-3979-KB - This model is **** and I got it at Best Buy. It will refuse to hold it's 1.2 voltage and overclocking is a no go. KR=/=KB These are also a 6+6 pin versus the 6+8.

Seems like a bios issue for my cards. My asic scores are 75.4 and 76.5 but they don't like any voltage increase, they can't even hold their stock peak voltage.

Kboost does nothing to help you. Your stock BIOS is hitting a power limit. Kboost won't do anything to affect that. Your card has dual BIOS. Flash a higher power limit to one of the BIOS chips and then see the difference.

I will assume that you are correct since I don't have evidence to the contrary. Regardless, the power limit is why your card is down-clocking and down-voltaging. A BIOS modification is what is necessary if you want that behavior to change. Increase the power target using the stock BIOS (if you haven't already) or modify the BIOS. Those are your options. Kboost does nothing to affect the behavior of the GPU Boost voltage and power limits.

Well your BIOS worked well, for one card :/ They both booted fine though so I've got that going for me. I wonder if one of my cards was an rma or something as the top card has the normal black model/serial stickers but the bottom one has a white sticker.

Both cards have samsung vram and the vram itself benchmarks at 4k with afterburner. Seems like either the core or vrms are the issue. When temps go above 70c is when the artifacts popup.

The highest temps ive seem are 63-64*C, have you tried disabling afterburner, setting the fan on auto or creating a more aggressive fan curve???

Yeah problem with x58 motherboard is my pcie x16 lanes sit on top of one another. I could use the bottom one but it only runs at x4 pcie 2.0 and I doubt that would give me enough bandwidth for a 970. pcie 2.0 x16 is giving me 5gbps at least. There is just no way for me to those temps with the card set up and I wont get a skylake or x99 build until christmas time when prices drop.
