Yesterday I had an issue after using my tv on the dp port on my gtx780 ti to set the bios on my board.  My hdmi port went weird which is why I went to dp and then immediately after setting the bios and rebooting everything turned green.  I thought that perhaps my card had gone bad so I swapped it out with an evga gtx760 and it did the exact same thing.  I pulled it, reset the bios and went to the integrated graphics which worked right while I was trouble shooting this build and it went away.  I was wondering what caused this to happen because my screen stayed green all the way into windows.

Could it have been the Display Port and the TV together?  If it happened with Dp on both cards, I would wonder if the cable or tv was causing it.

Did you use DP with the integrated graphics?

The tv was 0on the gtx780 ti dp feed and when this happened I didn't have any hdmi output to my monitor which is why I turned on my tv.  After I reset the bios and reinstalled my gtx780 ti everything went back to normal.  I never tried using the dp port on the integrated graphics only the hdmi to the monitor.  I was just concerned about the green hue overriding everything else because I remembered seeing something like that on the xbox called the green screen of death.  Hey I appreciate you trying to help me out with these issues.

Xbox is a whole different beast for sure.  When it did that, it didn't show anything but green no matter what.  There were no other symbols or anything.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but if so, I would more think it is the TV disagreeing with the signal.
