GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra Fan Issues

I just installed the 3080 XC3 Ultra on my first PC build, and I noticed through both NZXT CAM and Precision X1 that the fans do not automatically turn on. If I manually set the fan speed they will spin, but on the "auto" setting on Precision X1 they just sit at 0 - is there something I'm missing

CPU: Intel Core i9-10850K
CPU Cooler - NZXT Kraken X73
MB - MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI
RAM - 32GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200MHz
GPU - EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 ULTRA
SSD - Samsung 970 EVO Plus
PSU - XPG Core Reactor 850W Gold

    Are you looking at the fan speed under load and at what temperature(s)?  At idle (low GPU temp) they don't spin.

    Its on the Default tab currently, with "auto" selected. The temperature currently is only 45, but I haven't noticed them automatically turn on at any point, and I know the temperature got up to around 60. I'd rather them just run and it be louder than risk any issues

    I have the same card and I just checked the fans using PX1 and Heaven benchmark.  I use the default fan curve and the fans don't start spinning (at least in software view) until about 62 C.  If you are worried I would suggest looking at confirming the fan operation under load.  I should mention that 60 C under load isn't warm at all for the card.  If the fans were not spinning at 80 C then there would certainly be a problem.

    I think I've seen it above 65 and haven't noticed anything registering the fans spinning automatically on NZXT CAM but maybe I just haven't looked when it is

    There are reports of XP1 not playing nice with other monitoring and fan curve setting software, but I'm not well versed on those issues.  You may want to search the forums for further insights to make sure there isn't some software conflict if you end up running into fan control issues.
