Issue.. I just built this today and I'm a strong player of CS:GO with only a processor I was having around 50 fps. I installed the gpu and all the directed drives that the disk had on the menu, I optimize the game and with max settings on CS:GO I have around 25 fps, I make all settings minimum and I'm at a decent 60 fps.. I try to overclock using the PrecisionX 16 thing and... it wouldn't let me edit much. I watched the youtube video people keep saying to watch and still wont work. Specs: Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 Processor: Intel i7 Quad Core 3770 (Used previously in my other computer) Ram: 2x4GB XMS3 Corsair DDR3 GPU: EVGA GeForce 750 ti FTW

I'm not familiar with the game itself but open the nVidia control panel and set the game to 'prefer maximum performance' in the Programs tab.

What cable are you connecting your monitor with?
Can you download GPU-Z and run the game for 5 minutes, then use snipping tool windows button, type snipping tool, open it and highlight just GPU-Z, save it and post the picture in the advanced post view. The advanced view button is just above the text box, and then that will allow you to attach an image.

I subscribe to your YouTube channel, remember? I know how much you like this game and was going to PM you to try and get your help with this. Yeah, that's the second time I'd seen someone post about high temps with a HC video board for the same reason. LOL

I know you sub to me super tiny channel. I am getting ready to go out in the middle of the desert for a few hours, so I was hoping to help before we go to work. It's going to be a long day.
And yes, I do love CSGO. It's fun.

Did you change the BIOS settings on your motherboard's graphics settings to PCI-E? Did you plug the cable into the video board?

Restart your PC and keep tapping the 'del' key until it says "Entering Setup" or similar. When you reach your BIOS you should find Advanced Settings, then Integrated Peripherals, then Graphics. Enter the Graphics panel and disable IGP and switch to PCI-E. Reboot with the video cable inserted in the video board and you should be good to go. Remember to save your settings too before exiting BIOS.

This may seem stupid, but make sure your display is attached to your GPU, not to your motherboard graphics. If you are plugged into the motherboard, that may be your issue. Currently, it says you have nothing attached.. The display cable is at the back on the pc, not the 6 pin inside the case. Your GPU has never been put under load, so it shows it isn't being used. Furthermore, you optimized the game after installing the gpu, and it seems to still be using the cpu, so your framerates lowered even more. Top it off that you optimized using GeForce experience, which is not a good program to have on your omputer, but I will save all of that for another time. I don't mean to sound insulting, but that sounds like the problem. If you are using HDMI, make sure it is in the video card port. This will be below all of the other USB ports on the back of the case. Last edit.. Sorry, didn't mean to take so long to respond. No cell towers out here:

#1 Make sure your monitor cable is plugged into the graphics card output and not the on-board motherboard iGPU output. #2 Uninstall iGPU drivers. #3 Perform a clean boot of windows. #4 Use DDU (Display driver uninstaller) in safe mode to clean out all your nvidia drivers. Use the clean and restart (highly recommended) option. #5 Perform a clean installation of video drivers. - Uninstall Precision X/Afterburner if installed, make sure to select "no" to saving profiles if asked. Reboot the PC now if you had to uninstall PX or Afterburner.
- Download & save graphics driver 358.91 to your desktop. Run the graphics installer located on your desktop once the download is complete.
- Select custom advanced install, under custom installation options uncheck all options except the physx system software, if you have a 3D capable monitor and would like to use 3D at some point please select both 3D options, check mark perform clean install, then click next to install the driver, reboot when asked.
#6 Delete the csgo .cfg file if you optimized the game with geforce expereince and let the game rebuild the .cfg file on next game startup. #7 Adjust your in-game video/graphics settings manually after the .cfg rebuild. #8 Make sure g-sync/v-sync is disabled inside the nvidia control panel. Make sure v-sync is disabled inside the game. #9 Should be good to go at this point.

It's highly unlikely the 750ti will overheat, but you can use precision or afterburner (more people seem to like afterburner lately) and set the fan curve and save it.
What was the cause of the fps drop? You never answered where your cable was plugged in. If it wasn't that, it would be good to let other people know the cause if they have the same issue.

Your card isn't going to overheat itself. But if you want a more aggressive fan profile open precision, then click the arrows in the menu until your on the fan section. Click "Enable Automatic Fan Control" Then a little screen should pop up with a graph on it. Drag the white dots where you want them at the temps listed on the graph to create a custom fan profile. Or you can drag the slider next to the fan RPM tab up or down and click apply to set a static speed.

Okay, I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff lol. Noob in training. But I forgot about the connector so I can plug my monitor into the GPU and my cat snagged it up and took it under the bed. So I spaced that out that was the main factor of it all.. Small things I swear lol. So running H1Z1/CSGO shouldn't fry my stoof?

I assumed from comments above that the programs that the disk would want me to download aren't good for my pc.

As Scarlet-Tech & Zophar said... Use msi afterburner/precision x to adjust the gpu's fan speed if the default fan speed isn't enough. I recommend using msi afterburner.

To fix the slowness? Nope. Is your original issue fixed?
