Not sure about all of that. To be honest, as warm as the GTX570 gets, the size of the back plane ventilation grille worries me quite a bit. Not something I'd try in 3-way for sure.

Jacob mentioned it on the board. It was a thread where people asked if there would be more versions of the card. Iirc, he also announced the separate HC2 cooling block in that same thread. Anyway, if you're interested in where he announced it.

What I would like to see is a large fan like the pics I originally posted but at the front of the card to exhaust air to the outside. A larger fan can push more air and be more quiet.

I'm sorry but there is no way you will ever see me buy a graphics cards that forces me to keep it two slots config even with low profile water blocks. Even if I never plan on putting them next to each other, I don't know it is something that bothers me regardless.

Actually what would be nice is a 2Gb version of the GTX 570. I hope the next generation of Nvidia cards will have at least 2Gb (preferably higher) for the high end cards (like 580/570 or 680/670 whatever the next release ends up being called) and the entry/mainstream have 1Gb-1.5Gb.

There was also the one that's supposed to be a non-reference 570 that was shown at CES that was supposed to launch early Feb? Anyone have any clue about that, as a gpu is the last part of my computer I need, and it's either that or the msi 580 lightning...whoever gets released first.

Granted that the 570's do run fairly cool, i'm still not a big fan of all that hot air being dumped back into the case.

Should've done something similar for the 580's. I've been itching to grab a high-end card with display port for a while. Cool they listened this time around though!

In all honesty...I don't like it, I love the look of the 570/580 with the EE design, having 3 of these in SLI on my e770 board would worry me cause the fans would be to close together in turn pushing air into each other, as of now I have 2 570's with a fan mounted on a modded 800d to blow cool air right on them. to me its $10 more for the same speeds, with positive airflow in a case it will work okay id just never do SLI on them, but some do prefer the pull air in design of the 570 HD, awesome new release EVGA taking the game up another notch.

Bowenac So can this do three screens since it has a DP? Good question as the description says: Experience a whole new level of interactive gaming with SLI and combine up to three displays for the ultimate in 3D entertainment. It appears that SLI is still required.

For all I know they used a template for that description considering it is the same desc as all the other cards... if it doesn't I don't see the point in adding DP...

i think it's time we dump DVI altogether. displayport is just fine and more compact. that big old dvi connector screams 1999.

It just seems silly to put a DP on an Nvidia card and not make it capable of 3 screens as well.

Are you getting any more performance by upgrading your monitors to a monitor with DP... didn't think so. Enthusiasts upgrade new hardware, not monitors for a new port... I don't think there are enough monitors with DP to make it mainstream and dump DVI just yet.

It would be nice is displayport became more of a common/standard thing, becuase if you look what all you can do with ATI's displayport it is pretty awesome.
