i guess that's related to your Vram. maybe it's time to RMA. try to reinstall drivers and see if that works. but if it's on the start screen then i must say you will have to RMA it.

    Hello,

When you say start screen do you mean right when you boot the computer or when it loads into Windows?
If it's artifacting like that in the BIOS, then it would not be a software issue. That would either indicate the graphic card, PCI-e slot, or PSU most likely.

I would recommend to try re-seating the card and just double checking to ensure everything is properly seated. If you have another PCI-e slot on the motherboard, I would test the card in that slot to see if it has the same issue. Of course the easiest and quickest way to determine if the card is at fault, would be to test it in another capable system. If the problem follows the card then it would definitely indicate the card is at fault.

Another option is testing another graphics card in the same slot. If another card works fine in that same slot, that would rule out the PCI-e slot being the cause, and if they have similar power requirements that would most likely rule out the PSU as well. Let us know what options you have available for troubleshooting.

Feel free to call our technical support (1-888-881-3842) so that we can assist you with troubleshooting and setting up an RMA if needed.

when i say start screen i mean the login screen :).. not ever at bios, the funny thing is that i have formatted my computer 2 or 3 times since this started happening :/.. since it is rare (once a week og once every 2 weeks) .. i have never have this happening with my old GTS 250 on the same motherboard (abit fatal1ty fp-in9 sli) .. so since i have had the motherboard for 3 years and this havn't happend to me i guess it is the graphicscard.. drivers shouldn't cause that i have formatted atleast 2 times and have run both the 260.99 and the 266.35 (beta) :)..
i see it the most when i make a cold bootup (when the computer have been off over the night).. when i restart just after i see this it dont come anymore until next cold boot.. when i was clocking my cpu from 2.4 to 2.8 where it is now, i have rebooted a lot and some times it came there too.. but not my cpu since this happend right after i changed it with my gts 250

i have bought this card in canada, but is it possible to RMA it here in europe or? .. would be a nice thing to know .. since postage aren't cheap here in denmark :(

    Kind regards

have u tried it with one monitor on
also u power supply never herd of it  any chance u can try a different one like a well known one kinder feel its struggling to give the card the juice it needs

just looking round at u power supply im like 98% sure its that that not up to the tast can u post what the specs are

few things to try first take all u lights off take all the fans u dont really need on  unplug as much as u can to get the system to boot ie any drives anything that needs power but not needed to boot in to the pc

allso post a ss of everest or something same with all u rails on if u got a multi meter try get the real read outs

also running 2 screens bumps power usage i think

still sounds like a power supply prob

from what i found is it a passive power supply

since u power supply some generic brand
take the power of an many thing as u can lights dvd take the 250 out next put all to stock and see how it goes
but really im so sure its the power supply struggling do u have one to can try

when picking a power supply for a high end gameing pc some thing u should never ever scrimp on is the power supply

and yes always first thing to look at is power supply  its like
haveing a 2grand computer with all the best kit and putting in a generic power supply it  and sit and pray it dont blow up  it dont happen

+ that's only my feelings as to why u having probs u staving the gpu of power
