Hi all,

I recently got a 1080 SC, and while I'm happy with the card, I'm still trying to find the cooling "sweet spot". I tried the default fan curve and I don't like that it sometimes gets to the high 70's. So I wanted to know, what's the current fan curve you're using? I would like to try to get the temps below 75 but also maintain some silence. It doesn't matter if you have the FTW, just trying to get some ideas.

I personally use Precision with the set aggressive fan curve. I think it works great with out having to tweak a little bit.

Realistically you will struggle to keep the card below 75C and silent. That is a very low temperature for this type of graphics card. I have been running cards in the mid 80 C range for years and it does not effect the life of the cards.

I run my GTX 1080 SC between 55 and 65 C full load with a fan curve custom.
    GPU clock 2076 max.

my gtx 1080 ftw is about the same temps and clocks with the default aggressive fan cure set.

this is after an hour and a half of GTA V @ 3440x1440 resolution. almost everything on max without AA on:

those CPU and GPU peaks are just there before the fans start ramping up. using the stock cooling mode on my Kraken x61 and my GPU's fans are off below 35*c.
