As the title suggests, I recently got GTA IV for the PC (mainly for trying out the iCEnhancer mod) and installed everything and patched it to version 1.0.4.0. I have modded the game with some of the best graphics mods I've ever seen in any game (iCEnhancer/Gionight etc.).

I am not sure what settings in NVCP would optimize the game but I left almost everything at default (NVidia Global Settings) except "Single Display Performance" since I'm playing at 2560x1600.

I have the EVGA GTX-580 3GB in Tri-SLI at stock settings (except fan profile) and I'm getting about 30-40FPS with everything maxed out in the game.

My CPU is OC'd to 4.41GHz (i7 990X).

Does anyone else play GTA IV on their PC? Have you guys modded the game with iCEnhancer etc. and been able to get smooth gameplay (60+ FPS)? In fact, when I play with iCEnhancer 1.3 and all the other mods (cars, weapons etc.), I get 70-85FPS which is awesome. I recently did a fresh install and used Gionight's Final ENB mod (which looks incredible) but my FPS dropped to around 30 and sometimes even 25FPS!

Can someone tell me what NVCP settings will optimize the performance?

I was playing this for the first time with my 580's 3gb at 1920x1200 everything maxed and was getting around 30-50 FPS. I did think it would be much higher FPS. No overclock and NVCP set at default. I am going to try and use perferred redering 1 or 2 later when I get home and I believe this will help out in GTAV. I know there were some other setting used to get much better performance, but I can't remember them now it's been awhile since I played it often. Also I would like to try the mods. What site do you go to install them?

I don't know what you mean by "perferred redering". Is that Pre-rendered Frames in NVCP? That's set to "3" as default but I think if you increase that, it stresses the CPU more. If you decrease it, more work is pushed to the GPU (which should be fine for us with GTX-580 3GB).

I go to GTA4-Mods[dot]com for all the mods. They have some great ones there.

If you come across some good settings for the game, do let me know.

    Thanks.

GTA is a very cpu intensive game, and that mod works your system good.

On that note GTA sli support is pretty bad, as well as its a poorly optimized game :(

Do not think there is much you can do, besides fiddle with settings.
