of course it does. You have to disable on screen display, that's what is causing your CTD

I suddenly have an overwhelming desire to have a GPU with a massive VRAM bank and to reinstall this game.

If you're the one who added the Challenger and '71 Cuda* to the graphics mod, you will be my new hero. Kudos for posting some Mopar muscle regardless

Glad to see mopar guys on here!! I used to own a 69 Barracuda 4406BBL a few years back...sold it....why!!???? Anyways, No it wasn't me, I will add the other mopars and take a screen shot of all the cars and their different paint jobs for you then.

Works well now. Fixed most of my problems. Only thing now is after about 20 minutes of play the game just drops frames like none other. Itll be anywhere between 45 and 60fps then will drop and stay at 15-30fps for no reason and stays that way even if i dont move. 

 

It is pretty easy to get to work the way the how to video on youtube told me. I have everything installed right but i want to do some custom cars and get this FPS problem fixed. 
 
There is no reason that i can think of for a game to be running perfectly fine for half an hour then have the frame drop significantly but not crash. 
 
I quit the game and tried again, but it now always has the low framerate. If i reboot the PC it will probably work but after another 20 minutes itll just go back to the low framerate. Anyone? 
Problem isnt the low framerate. The problem is that the framerate is fine and sits between 45 and 60fps but after 20 minutes for no apparent reason drops to 15fps. Vsync disabled. Anyone know why a game would randomly do this?

Thats what i used. You can skip watching it if you want and just go to description which states:
 
This is a little video tutorial I did in order to help people in how to install this AWESOME mod.

Remember to have the following:
* GTA 4 Clean Install
* GTA 4 Patch 1.0.4.0
* XLiveless patch for 1.0.4.0
* ICEnhancer 1.2 (or the newest 1.2.5)

Any doubt, please comment below! 
 
So you basically install game, apply the 1.0.4.0 patch, Put the Xliveless.dll in the games folder, and copy/paste the ICEnhancer files into the game main directory. Then make sure you have Afterburner, precision or anything like that disabled. And you run the game from LaunchGTA4 not GTAIV.exe

Do note that if you're downloading it from Steam that you automatically get version 1.0.7 and trying to downgrade it to 1.0.4 is a royal pain. I havent been able to get it to work properly. Hopefully the next version will fully support 1.0.7 so us Steam users can feel the love.

Ironically I had no problems downgrading to 1.0.4. 

Has anyone tried this mod for GTA IV?

I wish they had the Civilians with guns and Riot cheats. That was fun in GTA3 to go outside and everyone is rioting and have guns. Seeing grandma shooting RPGs and stuff. lol. good times. 

Does anyone know of a custom car mod that isnt just a single car? Like, a mod that just adds a lot of cars into the game? 

I wouldn't recommend adding car packs, you will most likely get the taxi bug.
