No it's not an illusion this is an actual 169mm video card. This should be ideal for mini-itx builds. The card draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. Very impressive.

    1080 version of their long-standing AND VERY HARD TO GET AHOLD OF LATELY GTX 1070 card.
     
     The cooling on the 1070 card is good enough that I anticipate this card running acceptably cool as well.
     
     Probably 180 watt TDP and not real high "factory overclock" though (the 1070 ITX is sorta mid-range on overclock).
     

    Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
     I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

    1080 doesn't soak all that much more power than a 1070 - in fact, some 1070s have a higher TDP than some 1080 cards.
     
     For perspective, the AMD Nano pulled 175 watts in a package that was almost an inch shorter in length and a bit lower in height - while the 1080 is reference 180 watt TDP.

    I think this would be great in a portable LAN gaming build.
