I love EVGA products, and their tech support is top notch, but when it comes to all the hoops I have to jump through to get a game code, they have majorly dropped the ball. So I purchased a Supernova 1300 watt PS. I then receive notice from Amazon that I get a free copy of Grey Goo if I register the serial number. So I head over to the site and register it. Funny thing it never prompts me to upload a copy of my purchase receipt like other products I have registered in the past. Then nothing? So I Google the offer and land on the EVGA power supply advertisement page and as I scroll down I see it says I must upload the invoice. So I do that and some time later I get an email confirming it was valid, but still nothing about the game. So I return to the power supply page and scroll down and now there is a link to request a code. Okay so I click it and eventually I get an email saying my request has been received and will be reviewed. 8 hours later and nothing???? Wow, never have I been through so much drama to get a free offer.  Really EVGA?

It is the middle of the weekend.. EVGA is closed on the weekend, and the instructions clearly state 1 to 3 business days.  You will need to wait for them to verify your receipt, which will be Monday, unless a tech is able to get it completed earlier.  Again, it is the weekend, and support is the only people at the office at this time.  I am not sure if Support is able to approve the proper receipt upload and unlock the game code honestly.

EVGA promotions are handled much like other sites promotions.  You are required to visit the linked promotion page, and then it outlines how to proceed.  In the instructions, it shows exactly what steps need to be taken:

Instructions:
  • Purchase any EVGA product from the qualifying list above on or after March 25th, 2016 from EVGA.com or an authorized reseller
  • Register your EVGA product with us at EVGA.com
  • Upload your invoice to the EVGA product that qualifies for this promotion
  • Request your code from the form while logged into your EVGA.com account
  • Your purchase invoice will be reviewed once your request is received (Please allow 1-3 business days for processing)
  • Once approved your code will show on this promotion page under the "Collect Your Code" section
  • Offer available for a limited time or while supplies last

Maybe Amazon should have included that information. Thank you for sharing.

Still, no other vendor that I have gone through this process has made it so difficult. It should automated when all requirements have been met. Too much micro management. I guess I will just wait for Monday, but I won't have time to play then like i do now.

    Thanks again  Scarlet-Tech.

I wish I had time to play :-(  I was gone for a week.. I get to be home for 7 days and leave again..

Hopefully you get to play next weekend.  Just check back on the promo page, and it will have the option to copy the steam key once the process is complete.

It would definitely be really helpful if Amazon would post the promo instructions as well.  I will send up a suggestion and see if MAYBE we can get something done, but I doubt they will listen to me as I am just a scrub on their page, lol.
