I still think the team "The Scottish Boinc Team" knows hours if not days before the rest of us.

I doubt that they know. They are a strong team and are number one in Milkyway anyway.

They are number one in Milkywy, is it possible that they had a lot of tasks are waiting to be validated and when a lot of others started to run MW their tasks got validated.
Some teams guess what the sprint is and different member bunker different projects just in case. If right they do well, if wrong no big deal they still get points in the project they bunkered.
This is why they went to allowing a project to be chosen for the sprint more than once. At the end of the year it was not hard to gues what the sprint will be.
I seriously doubt they are cheating, they know if they did it would be the end of FB
 

It could be Validation pending but I have never seen more that 6 pending at a time.
It just seems to be one sided and has for the last few years.
I miss the Leagues and all teams being in League 1 for two years in a row really sucks.

Were would be in league 1 this year and last year with the big dogs anyway. We are in the middle of the pack, not bad for a small team.

ATM I am running 3 Tasks Per GPU but not running any CPU Tasks.

I do really wish we could get more to join in but I think that Cloud is taking over DC and we (BIOINC) are on the way out.

I was in 17th place for today until something, a bird, a plane or bcav went whizzing past. Nice work today Bill.

but watch out for bunkers

I don't think the cloud is going to take over and BOINC will be gone. I am sure the researchers don't want to pay for the cloud.
That's why researchers use BOINC, so they don't have to build a bunch of servers and pay the electric.
All the cloud may do at the most is the people who do BOINC will move from the home to the cloud as the cloud gets cheaper.
Most of the people who use the cloud use it only for challenges for a few days. Still to expensive to use 24/7/365
But people with deeper pockets maybe will, but those deeper pockets have huge farms at home with big electric bills.
So what's the difference where that money goes? It does not matter to the researchers, science still benefits even more so now.
The could can be had for as little as one penny per hour per thread. Xeon E5-2650 v4, HT is on so you may get a core or a thread
A GPU 14.5 cents a hour, for a Tesla T4. I don't think they do milkyway all that well. Maybe GFN or moo  or something.
A Gold CPU with AVX512 will cost around 20 cents a hour.

The site is down but I think we did D1 7th D2 5th and D3 5th for 9 points if I remember right.
Good job everyone.  I ran 3GPUs the first day and added 2 more for the 2nd and 3rd days.
Added the AMD Firepro 9000 and a 9100 the 2nd day. Did not get the 6gb Titans or the R280x GPUs online.
Maybe next time if they do Milkyway again, hopefully in the Fall when it gets cooler again.

How many tasks per GPU?
I was running 3 per GPU.
