Hey all,

As the thread title suggests, I am after some Firestrike Extreme results.  At the present time, I am only running on one 980TI.  My second doesn't show until Friday.  My system specs are in my signature (Note: my CPU is clocked at 4.4-4.5 ghz).

With all that said, I have been running some benchmarks on this card.  Firestrike Extreme is yielding a 8020 on my 980TI while my GTX 970 FTW+ is 10157.  Now, I am not one to harp on numbers and such, but that kind of confused me just a bit.  The AISC of my 980TI is 70.6.

Is this a case of silicon lottery, drivers not being fully optimized, or?

Looks like you made a mistake.  The score of your 970 looks like a Firestrike (normal) score.  Your single 980ti score for extreme looks correct.

I think you guys might be right.  In looking at my spreadsheet of benchmarks over the last few cards I have put into systems around my house an those I have just tested, I realized I did a pretty poor job on accurately tracking the 970's and 960's as far as games settings and resolutions go.  I believe the results I was looking at was normal firestrike and my firestrike extreme results for the 970's was performed when I had SLI setup.  Seems we don't have any issues with those numbers.  I wasn't super concerned as Witcher 3, Heaven, Metro Benchmark (I only had time for a few tests last night) looked good especially on a single 980TI with every possible setting maxed out.  I will do some more single card benchmarking and then do it all over again in SLI when the second card shows tomorrow.

    I appreciate the responses.
    Thanks

I will try tomorrow when my second card arrives and I will see what sli does. For now, I am going to keep on trucking along with single 980ti benchmarks for another night.

    Thanks.
