Going to be documenting a step by step teardown, cleaning, and reassembly of my rig.. "pimping" it out, if my grasp of the things kids say these days is correct. Any commentary or whatnot is welcome...going to be a long night.

Edit: ...I have no idea how to do the pictures in this thread. Sorry. Onward!

To insert pictures host the pictures first on a site like photobucket. In photobucket copy the URL. Open in the Quick Reply box the little icon that looks like a tree. Paste the URL. That's it.

Need some fresh air. There's a disgusting amount of dust in here. Also, the Pixar lamp stopped over.

No tree icon I can see on my phone. I'll clean up photo links later.

After discovering that one of my radiators doesn't have the necessary bracket to be mounted as stated it should on the box...... I've had to improvise for the moment. Will update shortly

Going to be a top mounted 200, a rear 140, and a 240 on bottom..although i lose the toolbox. That makes me a sad panda.

At my local micro center to see if they have any adapter brackets to make this go forward as planned. If not I'm going to have to order them and go with my backup plan for now. I've got a good handful more pictures to upload and post yet..stay tuned.

No luck on the bracket so I'm going to have to improvise until I can get it. I'll be continuing on this more later this evening to get the most I can done without having to go back and do it again later. Need to get in touch with frozencpu.. I'll be back on in a few hours.

So..to recap last night: took her apart, cleaned all the junk off the rig, and now the reassembly with some improvisation.

    ick.. I'm ashamed

    no, I didn't do it.

Further into the void. Onward, seeing eye minion!

After a little coaxing, Barry White, and slight genetic engineering, we now have a GPU with seven as..er.. yeah.

Going to have to mod the case in some fashion to make this top 200 radiator fit. Going to go get some drill bits and rivets. A dremel would be nice, but don't know anyone that has one.

Last wave of frozen parts should be here tomorrow or Saturday.

For the same of clarity, let me explain some stuff I've neglected to mention. I had reinstalled motherboard assuming it was a non issue.. then I come to find out the radiator bracket won't align with case holes.. Nor will the radiator fit up top with the mobo in the way.. If at all. So this is what I'm going for currently. I have to figure out what in the top of the case is obstructing installation.

For the record, apparently there is no unified standard for mounting holes on 200mm devices. Go figure.

This 200 radiator with a fan won't fit. Not entirely sure what to do yet.. I've got options but this really throws a wrench in everything.. especially in terms of fittings I bought and overall vision. Really a buzzkill. Need to reconsider my options now.. Quite frustrated.

Fortunately I've had a bit of time to kill with this mess waiting for my last load of stuff to arrive.. Gotta love when tracking information doesn't work. Should be today based on proximity to and history with frozencpu.. going to forget this 200 rad for the time being and move along.

Stupid radiator may not fit, but at least we've got good music.

I'd be a lot more upset if these fans weren't so smexy

After quite some time, I finally have the tubing cut, installed, and to a point that I'm happy with it. Before that I was struggling to win a participation ribbon in a second grade science fair.

Anyways, before I begin the leak test, figured I'd throw a picture up. Not actually of the PC.. you know, the prestige and whatnot.. But instead a blurry closeup of my crested eyelash gecko, Dino.

    The denouement:

Jumped the PSU with a twist tie that I stripped the ends off

Figured I'd try something different and routed the tube through the top of the case and back down to the bay pump/res..I like it.

    Close up elbow

    Pre tube adjustments

    Post tube adjustments

    Sorry for blurry pictures.
