Can someone from EVGA comment on this before I order? I want to make sure I can get the lifetime warranty.

heres a link to the Evga authorized resellers, anyone else not on the list would be questionable.

Those 2 sites sure have lack of info on the product. I don't like that!

I know. About two weeks ago a few websites still had them in stock (including Amazon) but now everyone is out, or only selling used ones, which does me no good since I want the warranty.

As long as the retailers purchased the cards from an authorized distributor, it's fine.  Do you think EVGA would or has denied people simply because they bought a card from a mom & pop shop?

It may be just my imagination, but I just don't feel comfortable with those sites. That's just my opinion.

I'm not sure? lol but how can I, as the consumer, tell if those sites in particular purchased from an authorized distributor? I don't want to pay ~$300 for the card and end up not being able to register the warranty, as I could just get one for like $220 for that.

I don't feel too confident with them either, but I really want Tri-SLi and I don't have a whole lot of options.

Maybe EVGA can find a spare laying around somewhere that they forgot to put up for sale? lol

Do you have a Frys store nearby? All the stores around me have them. Just not for shipping. They are $249

    I don't, unfortunately.

Could I still register the warranty if someone bought it for me?

Why would you want to buy from either one of these places?
EVGA has the GTX470 on their site for only $260

That isn't the SC one, but I'm starting to think I should just go with it as opposed to an overpriced SC version from a unknown website.

Does anyone know how a vanilla 470 would work in Tri-SLi with 2 470 SCs? Would it match the speeds of the others automatically, or would they downclock?

they would downclock but you could use precision to try to push it to SC speeds which is possible

its in my honest opinion a 90 day and legit card and possibility to oc to close at the very least to your sc speeds is better then an overpriced possibly rip off site

one is a mere couple mhz faster i doubt it wouldnt reach those speeds

I can tell you for sure that it is a 2 year warranty since they list the Part Number they are selling as -TR.

Ah, I forgot to look for that.

But I would be 100% able to register for the 2 year warranty, correct? Assuming I purchased from one of those links?
