So i installed some khx1600c9d3k2/4GX  kingston hyperx RAM rated at 1.65 not 1.7 - 1.9. Got a core i3 540 and when i booted up i used auto dimm volts. when I checked the RAM info with the volts as well they were rated at normal speeds of 1600 mhz at 9-9-9-27 with 1.68 volts. The max for these processors are suppose to be 1.65.  But can this dmg my cpu or is this normal that the bios made it go this far ? I made it go to the same speeds at 1.65 volts at 8-9-8-25  stable though.

It won't cook your CPU per say, but I would still back that voltage down to 1.65V yourself. Set the voltage manually in BIOS instead of keeping it on Auto.
