I was going for gold on this card when i got an good stable at 3.6GHz and it took an min to get that. If i could get some help on how to get it to 3.8GHz that would be nice, im useing an ASUS P5N-D 750i MB and got 4GB of OZc Rpr memory. Any help would be very nice as im trying to get the best for my GTX 570.

Sorry about that did not know where to put it lol, but my VC is at 1.31250, DR is at 1.970v, HT 1.36v NB 1.36v. FSB is at 1600MHz wich makes it 3.6GHz. Im thinking i could up it to 1700MHz to get 3.8 i think.

run 3.6 through prime and see what the temps peak at.

Try for 3.8, and if thats stable, you can start reducing VC for a minimum stable.

the multiplier appears to be 2.25x, so 1780 would be closer to 4Ghz

1in1class multiplier is 9x. yeah, but thats the bclk multiplier, im counting off your effective clock of 1600 which makes it 2.25 (Core 2 is quad pumped so 1600 = 400Mhz base) and 2.25*4=9 1689 is spot on 3800Mhz

yeah, i really don't think the E8400 needs 1.3+v to do 3.8.. i've seen them run at 1.25 and lower.

my second rig is running a Asus P5N-D and e8400, it used to be my old gaming rig. i have it in my mods rigs link if ya want to take a look. 1780 is prob not gonna happen on that board without water. its not really setup great like a 780i for excessive air overclocking. it is a good budget overclocker though. pm me if ya need any specific help. \m/

Gots an question about my timing, i got OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Reaper HPC 4GB Edition
5-5-5-18(CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) I got it going at 4 4 4 12 CMD 2clock, should i be setting my timing to 5.0 5 5 18 tRC 24? When i was running at 3.6 i change my timing to 4 4 4 12 CMD 2 clock since im running at 3.8 should i make my timing higher as above?

For playing games, GHz is the king. For benching RAM timing becomes important too. Your rig might be more stable with timings at 5.

What about my CMD should i put that on 1, as iv read it will make better preformence. But also putting it at 5 i would get better preformence as i thought the lower the timing the faster.

Yes lower timings are faster but for playing games it won't mean anything. You want stability over everything else while gaming. 5-5-5-18-1T should work out best for you. Here is the article that explains it all real well. http://www.anandtech.com/show/2792 I know it is about DDR3 however same rules apply.
