Hello everyone!

I'd like to show you my rig, I am proud to say I have added a 3rd EVGA GTX580 few weeks ago and I love it, I expected terrible driver support and really low GPU performance scale, but I am amazed at how good it all turned out!

The rig consists of:

Intel Core i7 2600k @ 5GHz 1.42v  i7 3930k @ 4.7GHz
ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution B3 3-Way SLI ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
✔ [EVGA] GeForce GTX680 + [Gigabyte] GeForce GTX680 SLI @ 1240MHz Core / 3560MHz Memory
✔ Dell U2711 IPS 2560x1440
✔ 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws X 1600 CL7
✔ Vertex 2 120GB + Caviar Black 750GB + Samsung F4 2TB + Seagate B. 3TB
✔ Silverstone Raven RV02B-W
✔ Silverstone Strider Plus 1000W
✔ FiiO E7 + FiiO E9 + Beyerdynamic DT-770 PRO (250 Ohm)
✔ Auzentech X-Fi Bravura + Logitech X-540
✔ Zalman Mic ZM-M1
✔ Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Had a lot of purchases in January and February, using my Christmas money, spend all of it on the 3rd EVGA GTX580, the Dell U2711, the FiiO E7 + E9, and the Beyerdynamic DT-770 PRO.

Here are some pictures, I do hope you like them:

And herei s a picture of my gaming room, where I spend 99% of the time when I'm home.

And this would not be complete without my awesome gaming companion, Casper:

I hope you like it, I know it's not watercooled so it's not perfect, but I am more than pleased with it's performance on air!

March 2012:

Here's an update guys:

Sold my 3 EVGA GTX580 and bought a pair of GTX680's for SLI.

Overclocked to 1250MHz Core +450MHz Memory and 132% Power Target.

Stock:

Overclocked:

I know one of them is not EVGA, but EVGA's are so hard to find in Europe right now I couldn't resist buying a 2nd card even if different brand.

I was told I was really lucky to get one of them already, as they went out of stock minutes after they were on sale!

Hope you guys like the pictures!

Another update from April 24th (2012);

A Just came back to my house in Germany (After being ~3 weeks in my other house in Spain) and cleaned the room a bit:

And here's the latest purchase:

Thanks to a clan mate for recommending it, it feels quite nice playing without having the mouse's cable hitting against the speaker or the router and having me killed in Battlefield 3.
ANOTHER UPDATE!!

I went custom water cooling on the CPU!

Then changed to a much better looking tubing:

Running a 24/7 Overclock of 5GHz

And both cards at ~1250MHz Core Boost and +350MHz Memory!

And here's my gaming space where I spend most of the nights on the Battlefield!

Here is an update from Summer 2012. Moved back to Spain (From Germany) and I added both GTX680's to the water cooling loop!

On October 2012 I decided to upgrade my noisy pump for a Laing D5 with an EK X-TOP v2:

December 2012 UPDATE!

I decided to update to LGA 2011 socket, so I bought an i7 3930k and an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme!

While it is not a great clocker, I still keep it at 4.6-4.7GHz and in Battlefield 3 it made a difference over my GTX680, plus I get to run PCIE 3.0 now.

Edit:

Here's an update, switched to an NZXT Switch 810 (White) plus an XSPC Dual Bay Acrylic Reservoir. Also changed my poor clocking 3930k for a much better 3930k!

Hope you guys like it!

@DOA The temperatures are fine, highest I've seen was 78ºC at stock and 82ºC while overclocked.

@thePoison Not really, in fact the highest I have pulled from the PSU was 800W (On the wall 1000W) while Overclocked, and at stock I never pull above 800W from the wall which is about 760W from the PSU.

People tend to exaggerate on PSU's, I don't need more than 1000W.

That's funny because on the 3 of my cards at 900 MHz they pull close to 900 watts on a 100% load.  How are you getting your readings? / shrug.

I'm getting my readings from a Watt meter on the wall and  then I just do the math (Considering 86% efficiency as worst case scenario) and get the real power draw from the PSU.

Overall it is completely fine even if I want to keep them at 900MHz, but I won't do that since I got more than enough at 850MHz, normally they're at stock.

    Very nice one :)

I have the same screen, it's simply amazing :)

How do you like the DT-770 and did you get the time to test em' while amplified vs non-amplified ? I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts, I'm a big headphone whore and I'm looking to add some to my collection, tax return is also here ;)

The screen is indeed amazing, I love it.

I'm no headphone/audio whore, I previously played with a Logitech G35 and loved them, but I have to admit the change to FiiO E7+E9 with the DT-770 PRO was a huge improvement in sound!

I haven't tested without amplifier, they're 250 OHM version and my friend (Who is an audiophile) claims they will sound very quiet because they need an amp.

    Overall very satisfied with them.

    Here's an update guys:

Sold my 3 EVGA GTX580 and bought a pair of GTX680's for SLI.

Overclocked to 1250MHz Core +450MHz Memory and 132% Power Target.

    Stock:

I know one of them is not EVGA, but EVGA's are so hard to find in Europe right now I couldn't resist buying a 2nd card even if different brand.

I was told I was really lucky to get one of them already, as they went out of stock minutes after they were on sale!

I play at 2560x1440 and Battlefield 3 at Ultra (Ultra + MSAAx4 + HBAO) and I play mostly around 85-110fps with some drops to like ~70fps due to huge smoke explosions on tanks and such, but never below 60fps.

These cards are damn beasts, they play anything I throw at them at 2560x1440.

Definitely, it performs a bit better and I really like the extra vram for 2560x1440, allows me to use MSAAx4 in Battlefield 3 and tops at 1.7GB vram usage.

Not to mention average and minimum FPS are much more stable, I have yet to see it below 60fps in Battlefield 3 at this resolution, really impressed, I could not use MSAA at all with my Tri-SLI GTX580 if I wanted to keep above 60fps at all times.

Well yesterday was a rough day, cleaned all room and I took apart all my computer to clean every piece of hardware. You have no idea how much dust I took out of the case fans and the Corsair H80 radiator.

The GPU's were clean as new though.

And here's my room at my new house:

Most of the good stuff (bed, chair, LED  TV..) are on the other house until I move permanently here in June.

After cleaning all the dust from the Corsair H80 radiator and all case fans my temperatures decreased almost 5ºC on the CPU and 2-3ºC on the GPU's, where's the overclock I have right now on the CPU:

Load temperatures are 74-76ºC on Prime 95 Blend and gaming wise highest I have seen is 68ºC on hottest core and normally they're on 60-65ºC, quite happy of having 5GHz on "air".

Running both GPU's at 1280MHz Core and 3502MHz Memory (+500MHz).

PS: I know all the pictures above are frozen, Photobucket decided to freeze them until the 22nd of this month as I use a free account.
