I'm currently using a 6gb 1600mhz kit of corsair dominators.... (8-8-8-20-59-1T)

With XMP profile on WEI give them a 7.6 at stock 1600mhz. without the XMP and the same manual settings I get a 7.5, with a pretty awesome 1866mhz config of (8-7-8-20-69-1T) @ 1.65mhz they get a 7.7 in WEI.....What would it take to get a 7.9?!?!?
 
I have a 12gb kit on the way....but I remember these sticks giving me a 7.9 a year or 2 ago when I got them....what gives? Do I need a higher mhz frequency or tighter timings? Maybe both? XD

WEI is natorious for rewarding tighter timing, but it takes three things into consideration Amount, Speed, and timeing. with any slideing scale, you are left with a slew of options to try. But keep your timeing as low as possable, and WEI will respond. Not that it matters, what you precive as acceptable is far more important.  

 
True.... I just want to see that 7.9 again XD
 
I'm gonna try to push it higher....if it doesn't help I'll drop the frequency to like 1066 and put my cas at 6 and see what happens.

I wonder if Windows scores on bandwidth for RAM.
I have 7.9 with Dominators (6GB) set to 7,7,7,18,51,1T @ 1855MHz, 1.57 v
SiSoft Sandra memory bandwidth is 30GB/sec.
Pretty close to what you have.
I used to think WEI was a political test rather than a tech test, but I found running it after setting up new hard drives set Windows' settings to coincide with the drives capabilities.

Well, I must admit my skepticism when I read ur post and saw that you were able to pull off a 7-7-7-18-51-1t config, I was even more shocked when you said you did it with just 1.57 volts. That's a really nice config and to be so close to 1866 is that much better.
 
I punched in your settings and my ram is now at a 7.9 XD Thank you so much for the help and insight.

I have a E760 mobo with a Xeon W3540
I found setting the CPU VTT Voltage to +100 enabled the tight timings, for me.
Very glad to be of help :)

After giving up on the underclocking with tighter timing i decided to try and OC at stock timing. Poof, WEI 7.9 on Mem @ 2128Mhz 8-9-8-24-74-1T.
