gtx 500 series heatsink coverage

I know with the 400 series cards if you removed the core cooler you could do so while leaving on the full coverage ram/vreg sinks. im going to be watercooling my rig and have an mcw80 just sitting around that I make use of, and if the card already has heatsinks on it all id have to do is swap out the stock core cooler with the mcw80. So anyone know if its a seperate heatsink and core cooler?

    you can remove the core heatsink without removing the board heatsink.

    hmm. looks like the heatsink might impede on the block a bit
