Not sure where to turn, Im looking for dual channel 4gb (2 x 2gb) memory I can slap on my p55 ftw with i7 860 and be able to overclock easily with the highest results. I dont really have a budget as long as its under 200 bucks so Im stuck somewhere between corsair dominators or g.skill tridents. Only concern with the corsair ones is Iv seen several people complain they have had to manually set the timings in the Bios so it runs stable.

My next question is, can the cpu handle that overclock (i7 860)?

Yes, would you want to go all the way, probably not, stability issues come to mind D:

i do not have a 860 so i don't know what one will do yet.. pretty much every set up is different and some clock better then others with lower volts.... i have no problem going above 4.0 on my 750 with my ftw. i feel this ftw board is pretty solid..  4.4 takes about 1.41 cpu and 1.21-1.22  vtt. on a warm cali day my load temps start to get close to 80 degrees on my water cooling set up.. i have not ran it there for more then 3-4 hours of prime 95 blend, a few other bench mark tests and a couple hours of gaming.. i think i need a second 320 radiator if i want to leave it there or try to go any higher.. i like it at 4.0, it stays nice and cool i don't need much more then 1.28-1.30 cpu volts to run it there.... i like that my memory can do 2200 if i want..  it gives me some room to play..

    evga ftw, i5 750 @ 4.4 under water.. 2x2 trident, HD7950 corsair tx850, raptors/raid.

If you are still considering the Dominators, we have run them on the top 3 EVGA P55s in the lab and also sent several of our kits to Shamino for lab testing. They run just fine.

Warranty aside Mike, any idea how the stock heatsinks run out against something like the Xigmatek Dragoons?  I put these on my current Patriot RAM and was planning on upgrade to Corsair 2000 MHZ 8-8-8-24 GT's this weekend.  Considering how amazing my RAM has been performing since the installation of the Dragoons - I was curious if you had an opinion on the use of them?

I know the heat sinks on the GT's looks a bit more 'solid' so I'm a bit concerned about taking it off, but such is life when overclocking.
