I was saying to myself ,  my 790 digi FTW is still rippin through my games and over clockin my wolfdale to 4.2 Mhz
but these last few day's I been itchin , sweating , and nail biting since the new round of $100 rebates on the 4way classy came into my inbox mail
so I hit the comfirm order button and now on to my first I-7 build
of course I am bulidin this new rig just to get that extra 15 fps out of the heavy WOW icecrown bosses lol
now I was wondering what cpu and ram / intel 930 or 950 (I want 4.0 Mhz +) and what speed of ram should I be looking at to keep every thing stable
I brand new to this 1366 socket thing

From a lot of the post I've seen on the forums the 950 seems to be the better buy atm.  As for memory I choose Mushkin Blacklines for my 930 build.

I almost always buy DDR3 200 Memory kits just for some more overclocking headroom.  G.SKill is my favorite and most around here that do use it seem to have very good luck with it.

ASUS Maximus VI Impact, i7-4770K, G.Skill TridentX 2X8Gb DDR3-2400, EVGA GTX 750 Ti, EVGA Hadron Hydro w/EVGA Hadron Hydro Water Cooling Kit, Samsung 840 EVO 500 Gb SSD, WD Caviar 500 Gb HDD, Panasonic UJ8C5 Slot Load DVD Burner, Windows 8.1 Pro X64/Linux Mint 16 X64

Yup, I got the same deal through Amazon for $279 after $100 rebate (although I think their sale already ended). For some reason they are really trying to get rid of those 4xsli   :|

From all the reading ive done the 920 has/had the best OC'ing. I personally would go with the 930 over the 950. I use Mushkin Redlines and love them.
