I am concidering doing single braid sleeving on my PSU. Has anyone done this themselves? or did you just buy the cables for your modual psu? I am running a Seasonic X650 and looking at modding that one.

Check out my modrigs profile, it shows what I am working with. I have a Lian-Li all black with black interior. So I am thinking white for the sleeving and the heatshrink. Nothing light reactive...

I was looking at the sleeving and heatshrink from frozencpu.com, awesome site if you haven't come across it!

I've been buying up these from NZXT via Amazon. White sleeve, black heatshrink. http://www.amazon.com/24P-W-Singled-Sleeved-24-Pin-Premium/dp/B003TO51LC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1298760448&sr=8-3

They also sell 8-pin EPS cables, 6+2 and 8 pin PCI-E, Molexes, and SATAs sleeved. They come in either red, black, or white; you just have to search "sleeved extension [color]" on Amazon, and you'll find it.

Alternatively, you can order from Martin here on our Forum Marketplace. His cables are more expensive, yes, but he makes them to order. That is, you can choose several different colors to be used in your sleeving. It also looks much better; I have both cables by Martin and by NZXT, and Martin's by far look much better.

with the extension cables what do you do with all of that original cable that the extension is plugged into? or do you take off one of the molex connectors and put the original on it? My PSU is 100% modular. So would I just plug the extension into the cable that came with my PSU?

What I was thinking was modding my original cables and going single braid right to the psu directly. I have a mid tower case so room is at a premium. :s

Ah, I see. These cable extensions plug into your existing cables. If you're looking at sleeving your current cables, refer again to Martin. He's got a great guide on doing it yourself. Know though, that the startup cost for doing this is rather pricey.

Whoa whoa whoa hold up, if you want to do single braide sleeving like the pictures Sleepee posted you're gonna need 1/8" sleeving and heatshrink, if you use 1/4" it'll be ~2x as big as you need and will look like crap.

omg dude you are so right, i dunno **** i was thinking... i even knew that 1/8 probably would be the size I needed! Mindless ordering to blame.
